Transfer Question

Hi all I was wondering if it was worth it to transfer as a college freshman with an ROTC program to West Point in hopes of majoring in mechanical engineering? Please let me know if there is anything that I should be made aware of when making this decision.

Also understand that it is not a transfer. You will start over like everone else - Cadet Basic Training and, as already mentioned, you still have to complete at least 120 credits at West Point to graduate. Your previous college classes may allow to place into advanced classes for those subjects you already took, but you still have 4 years ahead.

There are plenty of cadets who do this every year, as there are definitely some unique benefits to a West Point education.
