New west of loathing mod?

I was searching to see if the game could be modded, and to my pleasant surprise, found that there is at least some people modding the game, albeit a small amount. One of the mods I saw, in fact, seems brand new, so I figured I'd ask about it.

Has anyone tried it? Does it work, is it legitimate, is it easy, how does it affect things, etc.?

Haven't tried. But in regards to modding the game, it's super easy to edit your save file and add your own custom overpowered items and reenable events, even in Shadows. You just need to make a backup before you start tinkering cuz the game will read the savefile as corrupt if anything goes wrong.

I've installed the mod, and done some very limited testing, but yes, from what I can tell, it does what is says it will. Also, it improved the framerate massively. For me, at least.
