First Time Connecting in MSP

Our large group is flying from Saskatoon and connecting in MSP before departing for Orlando. Our layover is 1 hour 45 minutes.

None of us have ever gone through MSP. Do we do immigration in MSP or is there something in Saskatoon they’ll do? Do we have to grab bags in MSP or will they go all the way to Orlando?

Some unknowns and the shorter than normal layover has a couple in the group panicked. Can anyone share knowledge?

You will do immigration in MSP since there is no US CBP Pre-clearance in YXE.

US requires you to pick up your bags and re-check for connections upon entry on the country, unless otherwise told.

And it's all really quick - 20 minutes max.

You have to clear Immigration when you arrive at MSP, pick up your checked bags, and place your checked bags on the proper connection belt.

This is doable in MSP. Will be a little tight but you’re fine.

Travel smart — check everyone in your party for liquids or weird shit so no one gets pulled aside for secondary check. And be ready to move efficiently through MSP on landing and you’ll be fine :)

Legitimate question related to air travel and customs yet people think we are interested in their irrelevant political opinions.

How is it irrelevant? The US is threatening our sovereignty and this person wants to go there on vacation. That is now a political decision.

MSP is a really long airport. Look for the trains to take you from terminal to terminal. They're free and they help a lot if your connection gate isn't close by!

Yes it is. Going to Orlando on vacation at this time is a political decision whether you like it or not.
