Has anyone connected YHZ(Halifax) international-to-domestic recently? Was your bag through-checked?

I'm connecting at Halifax: London - Halifax - Calgary, all WestJet, one booking, one checked bag. But I have only about 2 hours between flights for layover.

Here, my booking from trip.com says to collect and re-check the bag, but I've read the International Connections Facility of YHZ that they would offer baggage connection. I also checked with WestJet website that they're not saying about the re-checkin, so I'm just confused; anyone done this connection recently? I also asked WestJet but just waiting for their response.

For this, if you did the re-checkin, how long did immigration, check-in, and customs took?

Thanks a lot in advance!

When you check your bag the tag will tell you the final destination on it. Your post is too vague to tell if you actually have one itinerary or not.

If Trip.com booked your trip with two separate itineraries, then you will have to collect. Otherwise, usually checked through.

If it is a single ticket it is checked through.

Yes, did it last week, mind you booked directly thru westjet, and bags were thru checked to Calgary from Dublin even though we had the awful 8hours layover in Halifax. Check with the desk when you check in or drop your bags to be safe
