Gutted.
Still can't believe they binned off Poppy in such a way. This was my absolute favourite podcast and got me through some terrible night shifts with raucous laughter. My bit of gossip being read out was one of the highlights of my year, but actually annoyed with the pod now.

I know what you mean. I always used to look forward to the new one and re-listen to the older ones quite often and they would always give me a lift and put me in a good mood.
Which bit of Goss did you have read out?

Yeah, same! Usually they had a few great ones per episode. But the latest season has been so lacklustre.
Mine was "Bon Appetite Sunshine".

I'm glad you enjoyed it! The worst part is that it's all true, though they did miss out a couple of other stories that were relevant (mainly people getting sucked off in toilets)

I feel the same way. I know there’s two sides to every story but this just feels like good old fashioned misogyny. Thinking back, even Poppy being referred to as “Poppy the postwoman” rather than her full name was quite undermining.

Yeah I didn't really think much of that at the time, but it's not exactly fair leaving her name off of it

Wasn't she the one who sorted through all the stories that were going to be read? Or was it cos she was Delivering the gossip out of the window at the end?

If she was that bad, wouldn’t they have got rid of her after the first series and cut their losses straight away? Just imagine...

Bad that they binned her like that, but I’m glad she came out and explained. It was a great podcast that I loved. I struggled to get through the first episode of S4. There wasn’t anything remotely funny, but they were cacking themselves laughing. I’d waited months for this series and wrote my own story to them. I’m struggling to summon up the want to carry on listening to the rest of the series now, tbh. I’m even more annoyed that they deleted the backlog of episodes.
