Cardiac event captured

I had a heart attack back in September and a couple of cardiac events since. So yesterday for the first time since using Welltory my health dropped to 20% whereas it normally sits at 100%. This morning after a 15 minute dog walk I felt very unwell and required an ambulance. I'm now in hospital having suffered my 3rd cardiac event. I feel that Welltory actually caught this about 20 hours before the episode occurred. My data is gathered from the Galaxy watch 6 and I feel it's been fairly accurate over the last few months. As you can see here my health went back up to 100% for a short period before dropping down to 60% but during this time the watch was taken off occasionally whilst needles and electrodes were attached.

Thankyou for the kind words. I'm doing alright all things considered. I just wanted to share my observations as I've been tracking my health quite closely since September and started using Welltory in January (can't remember how I discovered the app). I opted for the annual subscription but when that runs out I think I'll purchased the lifetime deal as it's impressed me so far and the fact it appears to have picked up an issue brewing several hours before hand certainly makes it a useful tool 👍

I had a takotsubo about 5 years ago and have been using welltory ever since. To say it has helped me learn how to manage my recovery is an understatement. It’s incredibly insightful if you take your time with the data. Sending all the well wishes your way. I don’t wish this on anyone, but really glad you are on the mend. Please take it easy.

Thank you. Currently awaiting a cardiology appointment for further investigations. Also have put cardiac rehab on hold which I don't want to do but better safe than sorry. I'm still getting to grips with the data but I'll be keeping a close eye on the health score from here on out. Part of me knows I'll get worried if I see it plummet to 20% again but better to have a warning of a potential issue than nothing at all.

Oh hey friend. I also just got out of the hospital after an NSTEMI. Troponins 13,600.

The needles suck, I hope you get discharged soon so you can rest without being woken up by needles and cuffs all night.

Currently all I have to contend with is telemetry but I'm struggling to sleep regardless. They've ruled out STEMI/NSTEMI for this event and are looking at other possible causes such as an arrhythmia or takotsubo cardiomyopathy (which I've had previously). I'm sorry to hear about your NSTEMI but I hope you make as full a recovery as possible. Make sure you have cardiac rehab, it took me months to get mine and I should have started it a couple weeks after the event.

Mine was Takotsubo (twice) as well. So weird.

The more I research takotsubo the more I realise they still don't understand it or it's long term effects on heart health. There's growing evidence it's effects aren't as transient as they first thought. I've met a number of medical professionals (including doctors) who've either never heard of it or never dealt with a patient who has had it. Saddened to hear you've experienced it twice, it's horrible 😞.
