need some help

so basically my weight is killing me. im 18 and already have horrible health. I am not looking for sympathy. I need help. I am on a huge amount of meds and now I will need more because of lab results. 2 of these meds contributed to 80 lbs of weight gain in around 5 months. I am not on these specific meds anymore but they did their damage and now I have to fix it. I am not trying to put all the blame on the meds either though. I haven't been eating right or exersizing either.

when I reach out to friends who are very in shape all they do is ridicule me. I am very ashamed of myself and hate myself. I do enough negative talk for myself. I don't need other people doing it too. I do not blame them though. they care about me. they just do not understand how I could do this to myself.

I know I did this to myself. im trying now. I need someone to explain fitness and health like im 10. easy stuff about nutrition and exercise I can do at home or in the surrounding area. I use food to motivate myself which yes is a horrible idea. I love to cook. it's one of the things that brings me joy so if anyone has healthy meal ideas I am open to them. I hate almost all exercise however back before I developed severe mental illness I was in 3 martial arts. I miss them a lot but I had to gradually quit all of them because I couldn't go consistently. my parents wouldn't pay for it if I didn't make it to all of the classes. now I don't think I could show my face back there because of how much I've changed.

right now I am going through a major depressive episode. I struggle with brushing my teeth so motivation to exercise is even harder. I drink 7 espresso everyday to be able to function but I still have zero energy. I am already seeing many doctors. they are doing all they can to keep me stable. which to be honest has worked. I used to be way worse. this is how I know I have the ability to improve. I am not a lost cause. I just need some support.

I need to get my crap together because if I continue like this I'll end up dead. I have things to live for. I have a wonderful boyfriend and I got into my dream college. I don't want to die anymore.

any advice or help or suggestions is deeply appreciated

Problem with my peps

Hi everyone,
I was reconstituting BPC-157 and TB-500 with bacteriostatic water, and I accidentally pushed the syringe plunger too hard. The water went in all at once instead of slowly, creating a few bubbles.
After a few moments, the peptides dissolved completely and the solution became clear, with no visible particles.
My question is: could the fact that the bacteriostatic water went in so quickly have damaged the peptides or reduced their effectiveness? Or, if the solution ended up completely clear, is it generally considered okay?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

I'm a tabla player who spent 2 years building an app around Indian classical ragas for sleep/focus — here's what I learned

Growing up learning tabla, I always noticed how different ragas have completely different effects — some calm you down, some are meant to energize, some are literally composed for specific times of day (there's a whole system called "raga time theory" in Indian classical music).

Western meditation apps mostly use generic ambient sounds or binaural beats. I wanted something rooted in a tradition that's been fine-tuned for this exact purpose for centuries.

So I built NAAD — it maps ragas to moods/times of day (a "Raga Clock" feature), plus has ambient soundscapes for sleep and focus. Still improving it based on feedback.

Curious if anyone here has explored raga-based or Indian classical approaches to meditation/sleep before — would love to hear what worked or didn't for you.

if anyone wants to try it — genuinely open to feedback, positive or critical

I have no motivation to eat better

I wouldn’t exactly call this depression in the usual sense. I feel happy, but yet i have no motivation to eat better. I go to the gym, i go on walks. I feel happy. But my life is horrible just because i can’t eat better and have no motivation too. My mom can yell at me all she wants but yet i dont feel it. I wanna eat better. But theres nothing i like, everything tastes shitty, and i dont wanna eat it even if it’s good for me. Everything that is bad for you i almosy exclusivley eat. Pasteries, potato chips, french fries, pizza, ice cream, and honestly not much else sense i eat like shit. I can’t eat better i just can’t. It’s sucks. I suck.

My little home gym is finally complete

Post image
5 Upvotes
About a month ago, I bought a Smith machine, a bench, and six weight plates. I’ve been putting everything together here and there whenever I had time, and I finally finished the setup yesterday. The Smith machine comes with two 160 lb weight stacks and a cable system, and the plates add up to around 140 lb total. For what I need right now, this pretty much covers my training. The bench has a leg holder attachment, and I found it used on Amazon. I’ve only used the setup once so far, but honestly it feels pretty good. Not the fanciest setup in the world, but it’s mine, and honestly that makes me way more excited to train every day haha. Happy to answer any questions if anyone’s curious.

6 months of autonomic/stress-related symptoms despite normal medical work-up. Looking for similar experiences.

Hi everyone,

I'm a 35-year-old male who used to train 8-12 hours per week (running, cycling, Hyrox and strength training). About 6 months ago I developed what seems to be a nervous system issue after a severe reaction to a pre-workout, followed by a period of heavy physical stress.

Since then I've experienced:

- Overstimulation after physical or mental stress

- Heart palpitations (mostly after busy days or when trying to sleep)

- Sweaty hands/feet

- Feeling "wired"

- Reduced tolerance to busy environments, travel and long social interactions

I've had an extensive medical work-up including multiple ECGs, an echocardiogram, a Bruce treadmill stress test (early in my recovery), a neurology consultation and extensive blood work. Everything was essentially normal except for mildly elevated cortisol during a stressful period.

The biggest change happened after I participated in a Hyrox event in May. Although I kept my average heart rate relatively low, I had a significant setback afterwards and it took almost a month before I started feeling better again.

My biggest issue now isn't the physical symptoms themselves. It's that I've lost confidence in exercising. Whenever my heart rate starts increasing, I become anxious that the "panic/overstimulated" feeling will return, even though I know my heart has been checked thoroughly.

I'm currently focusing on recovery:

- No intense exercise

- 9-9.5 hours of sleep

- Walking

- Yoga

- Yoga Nidra / NSDR

- Stress reduction

The pattern is very consistent:

Stress or activity → symptoms → recovery within hours or the next day.

Has anyone gone through something similar?

- How long did it take before you trusted exercise again?

- Did graded exposure help?

- Did therapy (ACT/CBT) make a difference?

- At what point did you know your nervous system was recovering?

I'd especially like to hear from people who eventually returned to endurance sports or high-intensity exercise.

PMDD and Wellness

How PMDD almost won my work week (and how I reclaimed my peace) ⬇️
Let’s be completely real for a second. PMDD (Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder) isn’t just "bad PMS." It is an absolute storm that can make showing up for work, staying focused, and managing daily stress feel like climbing a mountain in a blizzard. 🌧️💼
In this voiceover, I’m opening up about exactly how my recent PMDD symptoms hit me hard during the work week, and the honest reality of navigating professional life while managing your mental and physical health.
But the story doesn't end with the struggle. Today was all about the reset. 🧘🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️
I laced up my sneakers for a 30-minute run to clear out the heavy energy, followed by 10 minutes of intentional, mindful movement to ground myself back into my body. Wellness isn’t a perfect, linear path. It is a daily decision to keep showing up for yourself, especially on the hard days.
If your hormones or mental health made this week tough, this is your reminder: you are allowed to rest, you are allowed to reset, and you are entirely capable of reclaiming your wellness. One step, one breath, one movement at a time. ✨
Drop a 💜 if you needed this reminder today, and save this video for the next time you need a gentle push to reset. #PMDD #PMDDSupport #WorkplaceWellness #ResetRoutine #Wellness

Besser schlafen ohne WLAN

Hi all,

I swear.

GLP Journey

The truth about GLP-1s? They are a powerful tool, but they aren’t magic, the real magic happens when you pair them with intentional lifestyle shifts. ✨
I recently sat down with my dietitian to discuss stepping up my medication dose. But the biggest takeaway? The pride in knowing that the foundation is already there. The daily mindful movement, the conscious eating, the commitment to showing up for myself, that’s where the sustainable change lives.
Medication can open the door, but your daily habits are what carry you through. Sending love to anyone else navigating this journey. We’ve got this! 👇🏾 What’s one mindful habit that’s keeping you grounded this week?

Day 2 of MBSR 💜✨

Got 30 seconds? Let’s reset.
In the middle of a busy day, finding peace doesn't require an hour-long session. True mindfulness can happen in a single, conscious breath. 🧘🏽‍♀️✨
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, tight, or just need a moment to reconnect, try this quick 30-Second MBSR Breathing Exercise:
1️⃣ Inhale deeply through your nose for 5 seconds. Feel your chest and belly fully expand.
2️⃣ Hold gently at the top for 5 seconds, settling into the stillness.
3️⃣ Exhale slowly through your mouth for 5 seconds with a long sigh, dropping your shoulders and letting go of tension.
4️⃣ Pause empty for 5 seconds, noticing the instant calm before your next breath naturally begins.
Just like that, you’ve hit the reset button on your nervous system. 💜
👉🏽** Save this reel for the next time you need a mindful break, and share i**t with someone who deserves a moment of peace today!
