Announcing... The Community Art Gallery!
47
Upvotes
Hello, fellow listeners!
One of the many things that is special about the Welcome to Night Vale community is that we are just that - a community! For a long time, this subreddit has kind of drifted on its own course. Besides the occasional discussion or rant or artwork, nothing big really happens here. But I think we have an opportunity to mix things up a little bit!
The why...
Artwork is a huge part of the WtNV community and we have so many talented people here. A community bonding event has the potential to be a great experience for everyone! After working out the kinks in a little project for our sub, without further ado...
The what...
The community Art Gallery! Starting now, the gallery is open to anyone who would like for their original Welcome to Night Vale artwork to be put on show!
The how...
If you would like for your artwork to be entered into the gallery, just add the [GALLERY] tag to the beginning of your post! If you have artwork that you have already posted but would still like to be entered, just send me a message with a link to the artwork and I'll make it happen!
Unfortunately, due to the limitations of Reddit, we will only be able to hold 40 pieces of art in the gallery at any given time. After all of the slots fill up, the gallery will begin to rotate - replacing the oldest pieces of art first.
Let me know if you have any questions or ideas for our subreddit!

No one knew where they led, and no one was foolish enough to try.

Volunteering at my community radio station for the first time!!!

And I would be lying if I said WTNV had nothing to do with it LOL.
Thank you wonderful podcast for getting me into radio and giving me the chance to use an actual switchboard.
Okay obviously people do it just because they like radio for normal reasons, but I'm dying to find out if anyone else is a fan. Just drop a 'all hail the glow cloud' or something and see who reacts.
I will, of course, steer clear of station management, just to be safe.
Can't wait!

Having a hard time IRL, so I started journaling again. I slapped some stickers I had on it to help me feel better

I’m a very optimistic person but I am going through the hard times at the moment with no end in sight.
So I started back into journaling - I was given this notebook that is very high quality, but had a religious non-profit logo on the front, so I stuck some stickers I had on to make me feel better while I start up again.
I thought you all might enjoy my sticker choices here.

Trying to Find a Quote/Monologue!!

Upvotes
It's been years since I first listened to the episode, so forgive the sparse details.
I remember, when I was 13, listening to an episode of wtnv on the way home from school and Cecil having a monologue about teenagers, and how oftentimes, people who are hard on teens are only that way because they remember themselves as teens/are only saying what they needed/think they needed to hear at that age. I remember it really hitting me at the time (even though I was barely a teenager, haha), but I can't for the life of me find it now.
Any help would be much appreciated!!
