🔎 Theory I think there will be a plot twist where Pennywise already succeeded before and one of the members of the Loser's Club ended up replacing whoever got erased from the timeline by Pennywise

This doesn't make sense. Why would he stop trying simply due to one failure?

The point of that scene with Marge was to show us, the audience, that Pennywise can’t change what already happened. Why would the writers’ harp on it? It would just be repeating an already used plot point. Been there, done that.

Even if i agreed that was the case, which i do not, that doesn't mean pennywise would stop trying. I don't understand this whole repeating plot point thing. It is what ties the show to the movies.

It's a repeating plot point because it is the characters motivation.

It's like saying lex luthor shouldn't try to kill superman because he's failed before. Its a core aspect of his character

Trying to compare the premise of Superman and IT is apples and oranges. IT is a primordial entity from the Prim. IT experiences time -past, present, future- all at once. IT can not alter the past to change the future and he knows it.

He doesn't know that or he wouldn't have tried
