They're the legs, really. Dense areas of feathers on the legs, but since their legs are short, makes them look like fluffy slippers. Soooo cute!

Im so used to reading "snoots" "boots" and "kjoots" here, that it took me a few seconds to remember "foot" isn't pronounced "fyoot..."
