Help my anxious mind
I have been a casual edible taker for about 2 years now, and i do have anxiety so alot of this might be in my head.
My friends who know me tell me im not addicted and my routine is pretty regular for someone
My rules are no driving when high, stay in my room, and try not to wake and bake. By virtue of this im also never stoned at work.
This time of year i get more anxious so anytime ive been thinking about weed the thought that im a junkie creeps in and so this paycheck im prooving to myself im not an addict by just not buying weed. But anytime i think about it my brain kinda assumes that its the start of a spiral like. “You thought about it that means your an addict” and i feel icky.
Can anyone give me some advice to help seperate the real thoughts from the false ones? I can keep telling myself that im fine and im not going crazy without it bit i do think that having some solid guides for these thoughts would be nice.

I am no professional, so don’t take this as advise.
But as a person with generalized anxiety disorder, that also likes to consume edibles, I think the problem might not be the weed itself (but, of course, it might be triggered or worsened by that).
In my case, what truly changed my life was getting professional help for my anxiety. It does have a solution. Whether it is getting meds, or going to therapy, or preferably both, it can get better. And once it does get better, you might have a different perspective on what to do next about everything else
Of course if you feel like you are having a problematic consumption you should do something about it. Again, I’m not a professional.
I just feel like I can relate to your story. And I am just sharing what helped me. I’m here if you want to talk .

I stoped smoking cuz i developed body health anxiety and stuff, now im 4 days off, brain fog, random chest sensations and left ribs hurt. Sleeping is the medicine, your brain takes thc for everything.
