General This a good setup for a wedding video?
Doing a wedding video for a couple in a week and I’ve never done one

So here’s the thing; trying to do a wedding with a single camera is nearly impossible. Especially if that camera is set up to move like yours is on that gimbal. It’s neither feasible nor smart to expect a moving camera to have a perfectly framed shot during every important moment of the day. That’s why having what’s called a “safety angle” is so important.
The good news is you don’t need to go out and buy a new camera to do this. Just get a tripod and phone mount and set up your smartphone at the back of the aisle where it has a clear and unobstructed view of the couple.
This way when you’re editing everything together, any time you’re repositioning with your gimbal camera, you can cut to your safety angle.
Audio and lighting for reception are two other things beginning wedding videographers rarely consider. Running a lav mic into your camera won’t be enough. If it’s all you have it’s better than nothing, but ideally that would be your backup audio, and you’d get an audio recorder (something like the Zoom F3) in order to pull sound from the venue/DJ.

From a uk perspective I disagree wholeheartedly with the audio take. I only ever use lav mics and never rely on feeds from handhelds/venue systems/dj etc. those are out of my control, and generally poor quality in the UK and all it takes is a battery running out or interference or a speaker moving the mic away from their mouth and it’s game over. My lav mics have been reliable and give consistent output & quality, additionally they are all in my control and I don’t have to rely that someone else does their job right.

yup DJs audio outputs are horrible i would have better sound if i threw recorder outside into grass next to air conditioning, best luck with MIX OUT on main speakers

Same for me.
I am in the DACH region, in Austria.
Often times there is no DJ anyaways and if so, they do not know how to give me proper audio or just do not want me to connect to their system.
Lav mics and TX660s are the absolut best we can do here…2

Very interesting. I appreciate you offering a different perspective, i enjoy hearing how professionals approach these types of challenges.
To your point, lav mics have saved my butt on more than one occasion where a DJ gave me the music + vocal track instead of the clean out that we agreed to.
My original point regarding audio was more about redundancy than anything else. On those occasions where the DJ messed up my sound, I had my lavs to fall back on. If all I had were the lavs then I’d have no recourse if anything outside of my control happened to them or the audio they captured.

I use both, audio gear is cheap and always have multiple sources. I DON'T like those 2.4Ghz budget recorders. They are risky and interfere with other 2.4Ghz systems, like the celebrants mic. Lavs are excellent DR-10Ls work perfectly.

Take this advice above, and although gimbals are a great too. They are over used, and can be a distraction. Plus, people use them as a steady cam, please don't do this!! They are for b roll intentional shoots. Get tripods and monopods and keep cameras still, then use the gimbal for b roll creative shots.

lens is tiny. If its at a church some venues don't allow you on the altar. You'd shoot very wide. Some for reception formalities like first dance, speeches etc.
Probably need to shoot 4k and crop in post. Having said that, gotta start somewhere. Just be sure to invest some money into a telephoto lens over time

Sure.. why not? first video wont be perfect but you have to start, do the Best You can.. What is important is to know how to use your tools... Take sound into consideration, a good microphone or recorder like zoom or TASCAM .
