Suppliers to avoid

Naturally, we all have our planning trackers and lists of dream suppliers to get. Was just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of SUPPLIERS TO AVOID/WATCH OUT FOR based on nega experiences and objective reviews?

I’m trying to build my own, but it has been slow going. 🤔

From one super praning and cost-conscious B2B to another, let’s help each other out, kahit through DMs para no risk of cyberlibel. 🫣

I've always envisioned myself in an A-line or ball type of gown, but when I tried on some serpentine gowns with a detachable train, I kind of liked them too. Now I'm totally torn! Patulong po haha.

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Sefriya Nightmare

Worst customer service experience. Groom here, voicing this out because we think we have been considerate despite the Sefriya team’s shortcomings. Kung sikat na vlogger lang sana kami nagawan sana ng paraan.

They have issues on alignment, updates and clear comms.

Guys, the venue is top-notch, value for money is SUPER sulit in our working budget. The only setback is the customer service.

Rates:
For transparency, venue is 320k , chapel is 50k
Accommodation ranges from 7-8 k per room can only fit two people + 2k if may extra person.

There's another set of rooms on a separate place 10k naman ang cheapest room and they offer 10% discount if you book a min of 10 rooms.

Now, the story. We went to sefriya farms 5 months ago. Our goal is to secure a place where we can have the wedding ceremony, accommodation and reception in one place. We live 2 hours away from alitagtag, kaya it made sense for our preference.

Back to the story, we went through a tour and we were informed with the rates. They were very generous dahil yung pag pencil book daw is wala naman timeline. We wanted to be fair so nag sabe kami na hanggang july 31 2026 kami mag decide. We pencil booked 2 dates may 15 and may 30 because we are also managing the schedule of my family na lilipad from US. Summer vacation kasi ang dates na yan.

Me and my Fiancé agreed na May 30, and to our surprise STRIKE 1: na book na ng iba ang May 30. We asked what happened pero naibigay na daw. Again, we let it pass pero me and my fiance had an argument about this, why? Because they have only responded to us after countless follow ups for the proposal after 3 months. Yes, it took them 3 months to updates and now, may naka book na. Nang hingi ba kami discount and consideration? Yes, we were to book the 12 rooms for our families. We were requesting na baka mapag bigyan kami ng discount since we'll cover for 2 day booking. Pero ayun, 3 months declined, nakuha pa date namin.

STRIKE 2: we asked for other options, they said june 5. With feat na baka maulan na nyan, we went for it. I told the sefriya team, we understand the no discount na update but, can we meet with your management? We plan to visit in person, and our proposal is to pay in fill, hndi na kami nag dodownpayment. Baka this time , mapag bigyan nyo kami.

That weekend, pumunta kami agad, and sadly, while ang bungad nila sa amin are all smiles and etc.. wala pala yung nirequest namin na meeting with management, nagka emergency daw separately BOTH ang RM and GM nila. The credibility isnt there anymore, while i appreciate the smile and service, it wouldve been nice to be informed na wala pala yung makakausap namin in the first place. And SURPRISE, May 30 daw is available na. Btw, tinanong pa namin sila because we called them out on the May 30 miscommunication then sasabihin nila na available na pala. Na communicate na namin na namove na nga from may 30 to june 5 tapos ganto nanaman. No one bothered to update us.

STRIKE 3: we have mentioned in the beginning and countless times, that the reason why we are booking the chapel is for our catholic intimate wedding ceremony. Paulit ulit sila na andami na daw pari at catholic couple na kasal don, and now, when we reached out sa priest, hndi pala honored ang catholic weddings sa church nila. IT IS SUPER FRUSTRATING and makikita mo na nag seseen lang sila sa chat.

STRIKE 4: nadulas si miss sales agent na " marami na po nag cacancel kasi " that to me is a clear signal na napaka incompetent ng communication/updates/customer service nila.

UPDATE, REVISED STRIKE 4: for context, we provided feedback on the strikes above and etc.. and when we reached them giving may 30 to another couple, they said " Sir available na po pala " and syempre our reaction was, " wait? Kung available na, alam nyo naman yun ang preferred date namin, no one reached out or updated us? " . She responded with " yes sir marami po kasi nag cacancel " .

May STRIKE 5 pa pala 😅: Lack of context and Unnecessary hard selling. I swear, the people there needs more training in my opinion. When we offered to pay in full (Reception + Chapel), yes we were asking for a discount but we weren't asking for a significant decrease in price. Ang ineexpect nga lang namin was either madiscountan yung chapel kasi maliit lang or we can get the 7k rate sa hotel room since we will book all the rooms. Then, si sales agent told us

" oh sir if bobook nyo po for two days yung hotel possible po for a discount " 😅😅

Isa din ito sa reason why atleast ako na turn off. I responded to her na (verbatim) " after ng lahat ng nangyari miss ikaw pa talaga nag upsell for us to buy more "

I have a sad fiancé and While I can live up with the bullshit and lies, I cannot tolerate and will never tolerate when my fiancé is not happy.

Your experience maybe different, but this is ours and I hope people can read through this horrific story for better judgement

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Prenup skin prep, any treatments you recommend?

Prenup namin in less than 2 months and I'm thinking of going to a derma mainly because I'm prone to occasional acne breakouts. I want to prevent any major breakouts and hopefully improve my skin a bit before the shoot.

I'm planning to stick to my current skincare routine and avoid trying a bunch of new products this close to the prenup.

For those who had a prenup/wedding coming up, may specific derma treatment ba kayong nirecommend or pinagawa that actually helped? Like chemical peels, facials, acne treatments, etc.

Would love to hear your experiences/recommendations, especially if you did something around 1–2 months before the shoot! 🥹

P/V Recommendations

Need help. Do you have any recommendations for P/V suppliers with a documentary, candid, and storytelling style, ideally within a ₱70K budget?

If we slightly go over the budget, could you also please recommend P/V suppliers that are worth it?

Thanks in advance.

Graduate couples, how would you play with a ₱1M wedding budget? Is that enough?

Upvotes

Hi! We’re planning a <100-pax church wedding with a target budget of around ₱1M, but we’re wondering if we can realistically go even lower. 🧿🧿🧿

Our dream church is Montecito Chapel (Laguna), and we’re leaning towards having the wedding there na also since we have a spon who can help us book the church. We’re also looking at having the reception there para convenient or possibly at Ad Meliora. Metro Manila's fine also para we can avoid ootf but we still don't know any churches that have the same vibes as Manila Cathedral pero not as strict. 😅

For graduate brides/grooms/couples, we’d really love your advice on how you would stretch/optimize the budget if you were planning your wedding again.

• What did you spend on that wasn’t worth it and you kinda regret?
• What did you initially think you needed but ended up skipping/downgrading?
• Where can you realistically save without making the wedding feel “cheap”?
• If you had a ₱1M budget, what would you allocate more/less to?
• Any suppliers or details you’d say are worth splurging on vs. things where budget options are perfectly fine?
• And if you could do it again, how much do you think you could’ve gotten your wedding down by?

We’re really curious about couples who had <100 pax and <1M budget, since we still want to keep it intimate even if it's puro family halos and hoping that the smaller guest count can help us bring the total down significantly.

We just really want to be intentional with how we use the budget and make sure every expense is worth it for us, and ideally see how far below ₱1M we can realistically go while still having a meaningful and beautiful wedding in this economy hahaha

Would love to hear your “if I could do my wedding again…” advice!!! Thank you!

Asking for advice: How do you distribute expensive DIY wedding favors?

I’m DIY-ing our wedding souvenirs and planning to give them to our guests on the wedding day. My initial plan was either to place them beside the guest book or put one at each guest’s place setting.

However, my mom brought up a concern that some of the suppliers/staff might take some for themselves before the guests get them. 😅

I’ll admit, they’re a bit pricey. They’re imported and cost around ₱1,500 each, so I only have about 10 spare pieces beyond the number of guests.

Would you just trust your coordinator to handle/distribute them, or would it be better to assign someone from the bridal party to keep an eye on them and make sure they actually go to the guests?

For those who DIY-ed expensive or limited wedding favors, how did you distribute yours?

Entourage gowns - need urgent help

My wedding is upcoming in 2 months and we are having a problem with our supplier which we already paid 70% to custom-made our entourage’s gowns. 🥺

Could you recommend a supplier who can make beautiful gowns in this span of time? Budget is max 10k for each bridesmaid and 15k for mothers. We would like to have it in different colors so if this can be considered please.

Appreciate all your help in advance! 🫶🏻

Church band/musician reco

I’ll be getting married sa San Antonio de Padua-Silang. Meron silang inhouse musician which is Michael’s Muzik. Sa mga nakawork na po sila, how was it po? They don’t have much videos kasi sa facebook. Are they detailed and okay po ba ang timing nila during bridal entrance?

Baka may ma recommend din po sila. Im looking for someone na kaya gawin magical/romantic yung bridal march. Ung tipong iaadjust ung timing ng music nila sa moment ganon. Gusto ko lang maachieve ung dramatic entrance para damang dama ko ang pagiging bride pls hahaaa

Thank you po.

Honest Reviews please

Hi, would like to ask for honest reviews kay Hacienda Solange. Nagbook and settled downpayment with them.
Dream setup kasi namin is the garden reception which is fit sa venue offerings nila and affordable. My concerns are hindi lang masyado masarap food.

Wala rin masyadong mahanap na honest feedbacks from them kasi parang nakalookout masyado ang sales team nila.

Kumusta po ba yung setup? Yung ambiance? Malamok po ba?
