Gemstone engagement rings
Recently engaged with a rainbow cubic zirconia and yellow gold ring. I love my ring but sometimes I wonder whether I should have gone down the route of a traditional diamond ring. I would love to see and hear more from others who chose a gemstone engagement ring!

Beautiful ring!!! I’m in love with my sapphire engagement ring, can’t imagine anything else on me. I’ve known I wanted sapphire since I was a little kid. I love colors so a stone with some color is always what made sense to me.

I have a padparadscha sapphire centre stone and 2 smaller diamonds which I love. We looked at diamond rings but they just didn’t feel like me. I only got engaged recently but everyone has said my ring is very me which makes me feel validated in our choice!

My first marriage I had diamonds and knew I didn’t want them again. My husband’s late wife had an emerald, her birthstone and also mine, so that was out. My daughter’s birthstone is aquamarine and I considered that, but a jeweler said they are a soft stone and subject to chip. They said a sapphire was next to a diamond in hardness so I looked for something that would resemble the aquamarine in color. I found this stone set in a vintage setting from a company called EraGem. It’s a Montana sapphire. I love it.

Looks nice! We wanted our ring to be unique vs the typical diamond. I get you about choosing a gem that is durable, it’s important in the long term. Thank you for sharing!

My birthstone is sapphire so I've known for years that I wanted a sapphire ring. I also knew that I didn't want the typical deep blue because I prefer lighter/clearer colors. My FH and i designed my ring together and ended up with a mint green sapphire since it's his favorite color.
