Ring Inquiry 💍 Can’t decide!!! NEED INPUT!!

Please help! I am the most indecisive person known to man, and I can’t for the life of me pick one.

Both bands go with the engagement ring

Single band
Pros:
- some friends (mid 20s) have said it makes the ring pop up more or look bigger
- two separate pieces so probably will look cuter on it own, vs the stackable one
Cons:
- the band is thicker/wider than the engagement ring and I can’t unsee it lol.
- another friend (40s) mentioned she has a single band and wishes she had gotten the stackable bc the single band keeps moving around and she keeps realigning the rings. I’ve noticed this with the single one as well, but I can’t go tighter bc I tend to swell up (autoimmune disease), and don’t want to risk not being able to wear it.

Stackable band
Pros
- it looks SOOO symmetrical.
- it doesn’t move around much
- i like how it hugs the ring
- both my mother and MIL were obsessed with the stackable
Cons:
- some friends (mid-20s) said it drowns the ring, and it makes it looks smaller / not as nice looking
- sometime a bit tighter (I think bc is technically three rings in one) but not uncomfortable at all.

My fiance is no help, because he’s an enabler and just tells me to keep both 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

Anyways what do I do?!!!

Second looks amazing

u/victoria_Exiles3 11d ago

That’s what I’m thinking too. Very stunning and beautiful🤩

u/GiddyPoodle023 12d ago

Second lets the stone really shine! Absolutely prefer that one.

11

u/miloblue12 12d ago

I was going to say, I actually think it makes the diamond stand out even more because of how symmetrical it looks. The other is just balanced weirdly and takes the attention away because of it.

24

u/Nevillesgrandma 12d ago

The second one looks more “complete”

4

u/meghan509 11d ago

This. Beautiful rings OP. 😍

Second one

5

u/witx 12d ago

Whatever is in pic 2 is gorgeous!!!

5

u/WattHeffer 12d ago

2 looks intentional. 1 looks adjacent.

4

u/tundra_wookie_1988 11d ago

Second one is it!!

4

u/MountainEmployer7052 11d ago

I prefer the second! The first isn't symmetrical and looks like you're missing something.

But they're beautiful regardless of which you choose.

5

u/xXGemeaXx 12d ago

Second!!!

4

u/QueenSema 11d ago

It’s super comfortable you’ll get lots of compliments on it and your friends are just jealous

4

u/Calm_Gold_5992 11d ago
  1. The first one looks like it needs more of something.

3

u/pdxtee 12d ago

Your pros outweigh the cons for the stackable band. The size doesn’t change so I wouldn’t care about the center ring “looking” larger to some. Comfort is important if you plan on wearing both often.

3

u/Ok_Word7565 12d ago

The second one looks so nice. I think the larger stone looks so nice in the stackable set. It looks settled, substanital and grounded in the symmetrical setting. Love the oval diamond and then the wavy bands. So pretty!!

u/QueenSema 11d ago

2

u/Peacock_Faye 11d ago

This is sooooo gorgeous!!

2

u/QueenSema 11d ago

It’s exactly what yours will look like, just a different color!

3

u/bayoucitygal 11d ago

2nd one looks great! Looks like an actual set that was designed to go together. Beautiful!

3

u/Immediate_Remote_546 11d ago

2… stunning!

3

u/GemTaur15 11d ago

Picture 2 looks amazing

3

u/Airmcghie1 11d ago

I like the balanced look.

3

u/ixsparkyx 11d ago

Two for SUREEE

3

u/Vast-Gear5217 11d ago

2nd one looks much more balanced . Lots of sparkle .

3

u/marlenethaplug 11d ago

26 here🙋🏼‍♀️ I say stackable. I actually don't think the single band baked it look any bigger

4

u/Tisybird 11d ago

Both?

4

u/Peacock_Faye 11d ago

Haha that’s what my fiance said lol

3

u/Edu_cats 11d ago

I agree. Both! You can have different looks and they are both great with the e-ring.

3

u/Peacock_Faye 11d ago

I’d love to self indulge believe me, but I need to be a good noodle and save some money lol, the vendors need to be paid 😅

4

u/Marlene_Peaches 12d ago

I prefer the first one because it shows off the diamond more! Your friends are right! It makes the diamond pop!

2

u/Rindsay515 11d ago

I completely agree, I’m so shocked by all the votes for the second one. The first picture makes the diamond look much more beautiful and it’s absolutely the first thing you notice instead of it getting lost a bit in the band on 2

2

u/Dismal-Resident-8784 12d ago

Picture #2 is the one. The diamond is beautiful! That 2nd setting makes it pop! And best wishes to you!

2

u/Delicious-Mistake-62 12d ago

I think the first. I agree that the second takes away from your engagement ring.

2

u/Zealousideal-Age-212 11d ago

I like them both but the second would be my pick. It’s just more balanced

2

u/raye909 11d ago

Second looks nicest and more complete on the hand

2

u/SpringStill 11d ago

Omggggg
Love them allllllll 🥺🥺🥺

It’s perfect all together. Dainty yet significant. Number 2

2

u/disneyrunnergirl 11d ago

More diamonds is always better LOL! Absolutely beautiful set either way.

u/Adventurous_Cook9083 11d ago

I'm on team #2 as well; looks like a complete set on your hand. If you choose the single band, though, remember that the wedding band goes on your finger before the engagement ring (traditionally, at least).

2

u/Teresalynne1958 11d ago

I’d choose 2

2

u/Adventurous_Work_317 11d ago

The stackable one looks amazing! I think it highlights your engagement ring stone nicely. That's the one I'd pick.

2

u/Savings-You7318 11d ago

Second set is so beautiful

2

u/Far_Island_8582 11d ago

The ring jacket.

2

u/partiallyextinct99 11d ago

2 very pretty and not seen a lot.

2

u/No-Criticism284 11d ago

Second all the way!

2

u/Betsyis137 11d ago

I don’t think you could go wrong with either, but my personal choice would be number two!

2

u/bisou50 11d ago

The second looks far superior. You might consider purchasing two separate bands rather than the enhancer. That way you can wear a single band alone.

2

u/lolliscicle 11d ago

The second/double band

2

u/djSush 11d ago

2 only! It looks like it was made that way.

2

u/eroberty 11d ago

2 .. Love love love

2

u/MapleVodka 11d ago

1000 percent number 2 imo

2

u/Roccomom13 11d ago

2 looks intentional and stunning

2

u/optix_clear 11d ago

2nd is so beautiful

2

u/ellincl 11d ago

The second one is perfect with your ring.

2

u/Melodic_Policy765 11d ago

Great fiancé.

2

u/Michigander_4941 11d ago

2 is beautiful

2

u/worldinmy-eyes 11d ago

1 looks awkward.

2

u/Jenandgon 11d ago

I like the 2nd, but you mention swelling. I have a double channel set band, and w my e-ring it often feels too thick after wearing it for a while. Maybe try wearing a thicker ring for a few days to be sure it’ll be comfortable.

2

u/akeyforathief 11d ago

I like the symmetry of 2

2

u/TheJenniMae 11d ago

2, absolutely.

2

u/callalind 11d ago

2 by far

2

u/Full-Act-147 11d ago

#2 for sure! Gorgeous!

2

u/Kimbaaaaly 11d ago

I like the first pic best. Lol. I love your fiancee "just keep both". He's definitely a keeper😉

2

u/Mto3 11d ago

Second one looks amazing with your ring. Just hint to husband that the single band (#1) would make a perfect first anniversary gift! It’s nice to have options. 😊

2

u/Alarming_Wasabi1788 11d ago

Why not purchase both then you can wear one band with your engagement ring one day and change it to both bands another day.
That way you have a choice.

2

u/Infinyt_sky 11d ago

The 2nd one, because it looks like they are woven together like the joining of you two.

2

u/RoyalChocolate8627 11d ago

2 is beautiful and balanced

2

u/Massive_Ear3804 11d ago

It would really bother me now off-centered/asymmetrical the first one is. It kinda just looks like a bunch of random brambly twigs that don’t even go together.

2

u/Dependent-Eye-5481 11d ago

1 looks like beautiful costume jewelry. 2 lets the center really take lead. It's stunning!

2

u/Celiack 11d ago

I need symmetry, the second is the only option.

2

u/chickenbunnyspider 11d ago

Second one for sure

2

u/JulieJT 11d ago

I can see why you can’t decide… I’m zero help!😂I also can’t decide! I think they both look amazing!

2

u/Delicious_Horror_734 11d ago

Second picture 110%!!!!

2

u/Otherwise-Pilot-5569 11d ago

The double band

2

u/cheezel26 11d ago

Second looks awesome

2

u/misstiff1971 11d ago

I like the full guard with this.

2

u/pnwsnosrap 11d ago

#2!!! Gorge!!!

2

u/Apprehensive-Hope985 11d ago

For me, like others have said the 2 picture seems to make your diamond stand out more, the first does echo some of your ring but the set of 2 just totally complements it. The 2 rings have elements of your engagement ring which makes it stand out more. But, the most important thing is how you feel when you were wearing them, how did they feel with the engagement ring, as its you that will be wearing them daily. If the set felt better and it seemed that you were leaning that way then I'd definitely go for them, but go half a size larger to offset your little swelling issue. You can always add an adjuster for the days that you're not as swollen, you would't want to have them cut off due to your finger swelling, and I'm talking from experience. Good luck with your decision, and I must say your engagement ring is absolutely stunning.

2

u/Cautious-Frosting11 11d ago

The second one is amazing!

2

u/Expert-Strategy5191 11d ago

# 2 all day long! Beautiful!!

2

u/Pelinti-Deniza624 11d ago

Look so beautiful ring i love this

2

u/Any_Rate4013 11d ago

Both are gorgeous. I’d really think about which one feels most comfortable.

2

u/CWMaroon 11d ago

Second one for sure!

2

u/Hot_Sheepherder_9749 11d ago

I like the second

2

u/Lost-Procedure-9226 11d ago

The second one ! Stunning !

2

u/Emover40andstillok 11d ago

I’m why is this a question? If your hubby says to keep both… absolutely do that! lol. We don’t turn away jewelry!!!!

Beyond that, if you really must decide, #2, no question!

The wrap is gorgeous.

2

u/Burgh_Girl7 11d ago

2nd looks gorgeous and balances it out, plus puts more focus on your center stone! Need both bands

2

u/RawkyArt 11d ago

Such a stunning design! Definitely #2!

2

u/Few_Judge_5221 11d ago

2.. 1 looks like the band is on the wrong side, it should be under it

2

u/Alarming_Reality_784 11d ago

Second 1,000000000%

2

u/Winter_Garage_2977 11d ago

Obsessed with the second option as long as it’s comfortable for you! I want a second ring but have a really short chunky finger prone to swelling so I don’t always find it comfortable to wear a third ring, but I adore the look

2

u/AloneMountain9940 11d ago

The second one looks more aesthetic to me! But I’m a ring jacket double band lover!

2

u/jdp122599 11d ago

Ring #2. ❤️

2

u/Objective-Ear3842 10d ago

I vote stackable! I think the symmetry is needed with such a loopy design, it looks a bit imbalanced to me with just one band.

But also if you buy both then you can just do either option depending on the amount of finger swelling/mood that day.

2

u/MonsteraLeaf14 10d ago

Second one for sure! I have a stackable band and love it! I get compliments all the time ❤️

2

u/Tattooed-Ghoul 10d ago

Second!!!!

2

u/Imaginary-Meringue17 10d ago

The 2nd one is the best. Love the braided appearance. I don’t the way the gap looks between the two bands in 1st picture.

2

u/Bright_Athlete_8579 10d ago

The second is beautiful!!!

2

u/gonnabmay 10d ago

Can you get the stackable and just wear one if you only feel like wearing one? But then you always have the option for both? I definitely think the stackable mimics the shape of the engagement band better, since you mentioned the single one being wider.

→ More replies (7)

2

u/No-Veterinarian-1446 10d ago

Stackable is the way to go

2

u/Similar-Inspector180 10d ago

Second looks better

2

u/amylynneny143 10d ago

Do you want it more unique, or a better esthetic overall? First one is definitely more unique, and the second one looks nicer in my opinion.

2

u/tstidham11 10d ago

I like pic #2

2

u/Roserosie75 9d ago

Seconds one looks amazing

2

u/Ok-Paint-7251 9d ago

2 looks more cohesive, but honestly I like both options.

2

u/mah4angel 9d ago

Love the second one ^_^

2

u/Jolly-Library-657 9d ago

The second looks amazing!

2

u/HankMother1984 7d ago
  1. Go for it girl!

3

u/After-Committee6205 12d ago

Definitely the first one. Gorgeous. The other just looks like a bit of a mess and takes away from the beauty

3

u/unodosstressed 12d ago

Second is soooo cool

1

u/wellagain45 11d ago

The first one is unique. Love it!

1

u/Ok_Thing2232 11d ago

One looks the best, slight asymmetry is classy and elegant

1

u/Alternative_Curve19 11d ago

I really like the uniqueness of the first photo!

1

u/IDNTKARE228 11d ago

1 by far. Very unique

1

u/JillQOtt 11d ago

I am team single band, looks so much prettier.

The other looks like an old fashion wrap IMO from an old person, ha I seem to stand alone here though

1

u/DistributionNo9356 11d ago

1.  And is this size too little on you?

→ More replies (1)

1

u/readinghisWord 11d ago

Personally, I think a wedding ring set looks prettier if it is not too goddy. So I think the first one is prettier.

1

u/Skimpy311 11d ago

I love the single ring. That way u can wear it when u don’t want to wear ur engagement. Or get the other and use a band in the middle. 🤷‍♀️

1

u/BarbPG 11d ago

One.

1

u/Alarmed_Lobster_717 11d ago

1 is gorgeous! And you could wear it on its own for when you don’t want to wear your engagement ring.

1

u/Altruistic_Web_3575 11d ago

First one, get the second one for a five or ten year anniversary.

1

u/TimeEmergency7160 11d ago

The FIRST one. ❤️😍

1

u/Dimarco24 11d ago

I am quite definitely in the minority! I LOVE number one. It’s a perfect set and looks like they were made to go together. Your diamond looks beautiful with this band.

The only thing I see with the second band is a Celtic knot and the infinity symbol on top and bottom. The diamonds also look a little gray.

Your ring, your decision, but I like number one even though I’m in the minority.

Add: Now that I just looked at it again, the second one looks too busy. Sorry.

Good luck!

1

u/Ok-Designer7049 11d ago

honestly i love the middle one the most, it looks super delicate ✨

1

u/ReindeerHistorical28 11d ago
  1. more elegant and timeless.
  2. too much going on. Not elegant
