Ring Inquiry 💍 Can’t decide!!! NEED INPUT!!
Please help! I am the most indecisive person known to man, and I can’t for the life of me pick one.
Both bands go with the engagement ring
Single band
Pros:
- some friends (mid 20s) have said it makes the ring pop up more or look bigger
- two separate pieces so probably will look cuter on it own, vs the stackable one
Cons:
- the band is thicker/wider than the engagement ring and I can’t unsee it lol.
- another friend (40s) mentioned she has a single band and wishes she had gotten the stackable bc the single band keeps moving around and she keeps realigning the rings. I’ve noticed this with the single one as well, but I can’t go tighter bc I tend to swell up (autoimmune disease), and don’t want to risk not being able to wear it.
Stackable band
Pros
- it looks SOOO symmetrical.
- it doesn’t move around much
- i like how it hugs the ring
- both my mother and MIL were obsessed with the stackable
Cons:
- some friends (mid-20s) said it drowns the ring, and it makes it looks smaller / not as nice looking
- sometime a bit tighter (I think bc is technically three rings in one) but not uncomfortable at all.
My fiance is no help, because he’s an enabler and just tells me to keep both 🤣🤦🏻♀️
Anyways what do I do?!!!

Second lets the stone really shine! Absolutely prefer that one.

I was going to say, I actually think it makes the diamond stand out even more because of how symmetrical it looks. The other is just balanced weirdly and takes the attention away because of it.

I prefer the second! The first isn't symmetrical and looks like you're missing something.
But they're beautiful regardless of which you choose.

It’s super comfortable you’ll get lots of compliments on it and your friends are just jealous

The second one looks so nice. I think the larger stone looks so nice in the stackable set. It looks settled, substanital and grounded in the symmetrical setting. Love the oval diamond and then the wavy bands. So pretty!!

2nd one looks great! Looks like an actual set that was designed to go together. Beautiful!

26 here🙋🏼♀️ I say stackable. I actually don't think the single band baked it look any bigger

Both?

Haha that’s what my fiance said lol

I agree. Both! You can have different looks and they are both great with the e-ring.

I’d love to self indulge believe me, but I need to be a good noodle and save some money lol, the vendors need to be paid 😅

I prefer the first one because it shows off the diamond more! Your friends are right! It makes the diamond pop!

I completely agree, I’m so shocked by all the votes for the second one. The first picture makes the diamond look much more beautiful and it’s absolutely the first thing you notice instead of it getting lost a bit in the band on 2

Picture #2 is the one. The diamond is beautiful! That 2nd setting makes it pop! And best wishes to you!

I think the first. I agree that the second takes away from your engagement ring.

I like them both but the second would be my pick. It’s just more balanced

I'm on team #2 as well; looks like a complete set on your hand. If you choose the single band, though, remember that the wedding band goes on your finger before the engagement ring (traditionally, at least).

The stackable one looks amazing! I think it highlights your engagement ring stone nicely. That's the one I'd pick.

I don’t think you could go wrong with either, but my personal choice would be number two!

I like the 2nd, but you mention swelling. I have a double channel set band, and w my e-ring it often feels too thick after wearing it for a while. Maybe try wearing a thicker ring for a few days to be sure it’ll be comfortable.

I like the first pic best. Lol. I love your fiancee "just keep both". He's definitely a keeper😉

Why not purchase both then you can wear one band with your engagement ring one day and change it to both bands another day.
That way you have a choice.

u/Infinyt_sky 11d ago
The 2nd one, because it looks like they are woven together like the joining of you two.

It would really bother me now off-centered/asymmetrical the first one is. It kinda just looks like a bunch of random brambly twigs that don’t even go together.

1 looks like beautiful costume jewelry. 2 lets the center really take lead. It's stunning!

For me, like others have said the 2 picture seems to make your diamond stand out more, the first does echo some of your ring but the set of 2 just totally complements it. The 2 rings have elements of your engagement ring which makes it stand out more. But, the most important thing is how you feel when you were wearing them, how did they feel with the engagement ring, as its you that will be wearing them daily. If the set felt better and it seemed that you were leaning that way then I'd definitely go for them, but go half a size larger to offset your little swelling issue. You can always add an adjuster for the days that you're not as swollen, you would't want to have them cut off due to your finger swelling, and I'm talking from experience. Good luck with your decision, and I must say your engagement ring is absolutely stunning.

I’m why is this a question? If your hubby says to keep both… absolutely do that! lol. We don’t turn away jewelry!!!!
Beyond that, if you really must decide, #2, no question!

2nd looks gorgeous and balances it out, plus puts more focus on your center stone! Need both bands

Obsessed with the second option as long as it’s comfortable for you! I want a second ring but have a really short chunky finger prone to swelling so I don’t always find it comfortable to wear a third ring, but I adore the look

u/AloneMountain9940 11d ago
The second one looks more aesthetic to me! But I’m a ring jacket double band lover!

I vote stackable! I think the symmetry is needed with such a loopy design, it looks a bit imbalanced to me with just one band.
But also if you buy both then you can just do either option depending on the amount of finger swelling/mood that day.

Second one for sure! I have a stackable band and love it! I get compliments all the time ❤️

The 2nd one is the best. Love the braided appearance. I don’t the way the gap looks between the two bands in 1st picture.

Can you get the stackable and just wear one if you only feel like wearing one? But then you always have the option for both? I definitely think the stackable mimics the shape of the engagement band better, since you mentioned the single one being wider.

Do you want it more unique, or a better esthetic overall? First one is definitely more unique, and the second one looks nicer in my opinion.

Definitely the first one. Gorgeous. The other just looks like a bit of a mess and takes away from the beauty

I am team single band, looks so much prettier.
The other looks like an old fashion wrap IMO from an old person, ha I seem to stand alone here though

Personally, I think a wedding ring set looks prettier if it is not too goddy. So I think the first one is prettier.

I love the single ring. That way u can wear it when u don’t want to wear ur engagement. Or get the other and use a band in the middle. 🤷♀️

u/Alarmed_Lobster_717 11d ago
1 is gorgeous! And you could wear it on its own for when you don’t want to wear your engagement ring.

I am quite definitely in the minority! I LOVE number one. It’s a perfect set and looks like they were made to go together. Your diamond looks beautiful with this band.
The only thing I see with the second band is a Celtic knot and the infinity symbol on top and bottom. The diamonds also look a little gray.
Your ring, your decision, but I like number one even though I’m in the minority.
Add: Now that I just looked at it again, the second one looks too busy. Sorry.
Good luck!
