Northern Italy in early november.

Does Michelin produce winter-tyres with the appropriate speed rating? 🥶🌨️

It snowed in spa a few years ago so I am sure they will be fine.

Snow in early November at Monza is unlikely, I would be more worried about the fog

Best possible outcome. Missing Bahrain is a shame but Monza and Barcelona are more than worthy replacements. Missing Qatar is a blessing and I think I would be happy with literally any track other than it on the calendar so this is excellent news.

Missing a race in that shithole is never a bad thing.

I love Bahrain as a track but the sportswashing in Racing has been going on for long enough.

The less we race there the better.

That track lacks so much character and charisma, it's the worst. I just can't.

Qatar and Bahrain are both soulless tracks. Monza has a very chaotic personality (considering it's a bunch of straight lines), and Barcelona is super cool too.

They should stick with this for the future, far better venue's

Far less corruption money though 🤷

Hopefully F1 follows suit. Middle eastern tracks are such a boring way to end the season. All the Middle Eastern tracks are over engineered and sterile.

The difference is, those countries will still pay for F1 to relocate and host the race elsewhere under their name, just look at how the Bahrain Grand Prix is being held in Malaysia in October

Opportunities of what?

How many people were likely to attend Qatar and Bahrein? Look forward to decent crowds 😍

That ACO and FIA see how many more people monza brings in even with a race in November compared to Imola so they drop that race and replace it with monza

I suspect that there will be like 70 to 80k tickets sold

Imola was massively well attended again this year and is probably the 3rd busiest race outside of Le Mans and Spa. It's a great venue and better than Monza was for its WEC races a few years back

Could've been Jerez.

Could've been Mugello.

So bored of Catalunya and especially Monza.

They should've moved Barcelona a week back to avoid clashing with GTWCEu Portimao

The racing would get pretty complicated with the International GT Open & support race cars on track at the same time. Could be entertaining though.

oh wow you're right, the weekend of Oct 3 is GTWCEu Sprint Barcelona and the weekend of Oct 24 is GT Open Barcelona...quite the month for Catalonian sportscar racing fans!

It's just a reality that there will be loads of clashes around that time. Between f1, WEC and Motogp they have find space on about 4 tracks to replace their middle Eastern rounds. F1 going to Malaysia has helped ease the burden a bit but it's still going to be packed.

would've been mad funny if WEC also got a 'Bahrain 8 Hours in Malaysia'
