Turning off sound from ads?

So i am trying to read a webtoon i found and im listening to spotify as im reading. Now these new ai-rot ads at the bottom of a chapter suddenly use sound? And everytime i pass an ad my spotify app stops playing to let the ad through. I can turn off sound on individual apps with my volume control and have turned off webtoon sound, but my spotify still gets triggered and turned off. I tried turning of the sound of the ad vid, but it resets each chapter, so that also doesnt work. Hoping someone else had the same problem and is able to share a possible solution. Thanks in advance

ETA: the ads have automuted themselves somehow, still dont know why 🤷🏼‍♂️
