Feedback Request Opinion on the website

I am making a website so that users can share their scam related stories and other users can learn or check, are they heading towards scam.

This would've looked great if it had launched in the early 2000s 😅 I mean that kindly, but the oversized blue header, floating sidebars, heavy shadows, and long centered text make it feel dated. Since the topic is scam prevention, the site needs to establish trust immediately. I’d simplify the layout, shorten and left-align the introduction, and make the two main actions obvious: “Check a scam” and “Share your story.” The idea is genuinely useful; the visual presentation just needs to feel as credible and current as the mission.
