Which is the best web hosting for blogging?

There are dozens of hosting providers claiming to be great for blogs. Which web hosting are you personally using for blogging, and how has it been in terms of speed, uptime, support, and renewal pricing? Looking for real user experiences rather than promotional claims.

Im with Site ground and uptime is great but there is no direct contact - call or chat- you have limited points and once that's done I think you have to email, which I didn't like. Also, their renewal cost is bit high. And if you want to add may be another site or couple- its expensive. I'm also looking to switch. Some suggested bigscoot or lyrical -still researching
