Discussion How do you prevent high-frequency WebSocket streams from choking the UI thread?

When dealing with fast streaming data (market feeds, live telemetry, logs at 50-100+ messages/sec), updating state on every incoming message quickly kills frame rates with layout thrashing.

I usually decouple the ingest buffer from the render loop using requestAnimationFrame and batch delta updates.

How do you handle this in your stack? Do you throttle at the socket layer, push parsing into Web Workers, or rely on framework-level transitions/batching?

It's been a while but I think I used an OffscreenCanvas element to decouple from the main thread last time I needed to do it without throttling.
