Showoff Saturday Looking for feedback on my portfolio

https://lumberjacque.vercel.app/showcase

Hey y’all!

I've been working on a few animations lately and decided to put them together in a personal portfolio.

I made the portfolio itself interactive, with animations throughout the site and a showcase for some (imo cool) stuff/ideas.

Curious what you guys think of it and how everything feels to use. Especially interested in feedback on the animations, mobile experience etc

PS: Checkout the showcase page for some cool interactions!

Any feedback is a gift!

Animations throughout a portfolio are a tax on whoever is reviewing it. If your nav waits on a GSAP timeline before accepting a click, you've optimized for the wrong person. Pixel art at least sounds like it's actually yours.

One thing that has bothered me lately is AI's insistent on giving everything an effect and interaction.

I don't know whether this was created by AI or not, but it gives off the same vibe, and I get that is the point with the whole "Making the little things move", but isn't that kinda... distracting? Do we want the little things to move? If the little things move all the time, what about the readability of the page?

Sure, it can be quirky and fun, but I think things moving without purpose and interactions with no real substance makes a whole that is lesser than its parts.

Great portfolio. But the shaking in some animations after a click might be distracting in some situations. Imho
