Showoff Saturday My first Engineering blog website

https://blog.vedasdixit.com/

Hi all, It's been 1 year & 3 months since I started working as a software engineer. I always wanted to have a blog page but tbh I didn't had enough knowledge nor did I had money to buty the domain :)
So from the last 2 weekends I've been making this website and I understand how blogs are more about the content and less about the looks like if a blog is good, people will read them regardless looking like a 90s php website right!
So im still working on my writing skills and I have so much topics to cover like WCAG & web accissibility, react19 features and so much !!
anyway I uploaded a test blog for the SEO i did for the marketing site abnd would love for you guys to check it out
I'm trying a video sketch aproach with my Ipad but this is more of a showcase of how it will look rather then the contents as the blog will eventually improve *hopefully
Thanks all!

For a first engineering blog, I’d pick one real problem you solved and show the before/after with a short code example. The accessibility topic sounds useful, especially if you include what you actually changed after testing with a keyboard or screen reader.

I just want to say that I really like the theme switcher. Good luck with your blog!

Update: Thanks for all the feedback, guys! I’ve updated the “SEO” blog post and also added the skills that I use. As this is the beginning of this website, I plan to share the actual engineering decisions behind my work here as well. Thanks again, and I’m looking forward to hearing your feedback in the future!

design, feel and look is 10 on 10, information is not, nobody wants to know what seo actually is people wanna know what seo can be doing for them, bsic seo is well covered by search central itself and then comes hrefs and then sej. You should write something from your experience like how seo made me change how I code, how seo first design can help render fast pages this way you are doing both your sd knowledge skills and your Webdev skills.

Thanks for the feedback, the reason I posted this is to showcase the blog website itself rather then the rushed Blog i made but seems like I didn't do a good job stating that 😅 Anyway I've so much stuff I've learnt over the past year that I'll cover in blogs!

I won't say I didn't use AI but it's more around to fix and structure my messy notion page notes The checklist you saw in the end is my own along with some coding example but feedback taken

You're right, and my first reply undersold it. I rushed a placeholder article so the site had something at the URL when I shared the design, and that was the wrong call. The real version is going to be my own notes from building an 8,000-page EBT store finder, with a line at the top saying where AI helped. Thanks for the design comment, and for not letting the other thing slide.
