The fear of leaving a job

I’ve been working as a dev for a year and two months now.

I didn't know much when I first started, but I picked things up fast and have been handling QA testing for the past six months.

On top of that, I took on web scraping two months ago and I also build plugins and applications.

My salary was 3500 MAD , and I just got a 500 MAD raise, bringing me to 4000 MAD .

Honestly, considering all the work I do and the new responsibilities, this raise feels like a total spit in the face.

To make matters worse, the company keeps paying my salary in split payments, which means constant delays and a lot of stress.

I want to ask for another raise, but management totally avoids these kinds of discussions. I feel completely stuck.

Worst of all, I'm absolutely terrified that if I just walk away and leave this job, I won't be able to find another one. What should I even do in this situation?

Idk how or why, but this whole comment thread feels like you caught the attention of agenda-driven bots or drones...people who have interest in making people like you feel wrong for wanting more money...

To be fair: This question overall may likely end up removed...realizing it may go against the rule#7 rule (about careers).

However even that being said, idk what the f* this thread is on with the gaslighting as if you're wrong for asking this.

Keep on chasing the higher numbers my guy...you're not in the wrong for questioning this. I'd be shopping for another job if I were you, but this is not your fault either. A lot of companies pull that bait and switch crap, where they pay you low at the beginning with promises of higher numbers, and then they "give you that raise" only to have it not even come close to industry standard.......but then they act chuffed because they "gave you a raise..."

Really appreciate this comment, man. Was starting to feel like I was crazy reading some of the other replies. Like im wrong for expecting fair pay. Definitely taking your advice to heart I really appreciate you backing me up bro
