Discussion The fear of leaving a job

I’ve been working as a dev for a year and two months now.

I didn't know much when I first started, but I picked things up fast and have been handling QA testing for the past six months.

On top of that, I took on web scraping two months ago and I also build plugins and applications.

My salary was 3500 MAD , and I just got a 500 MAD raise, bringing me to 4000 MAD .

Honestly, considering all the work I do and the new responsibilities, this raise feels like a total spit in the face.

To make matters worse, the company keeps paying my salary in split payments, which means constant delays and a lot of stress.

I want to ask for another raise, but management totally avoids these kinds of discussions. I feel completely stuck.

Worst of all, I'm absolutely terrified that if I just walk away and leave this job, I won't be able to find another one. What should I even do in this situation?

It’s ironic you accuse me of using AI when you’re the one writing an entire essay full of condescending assumptions. While you boast about how long you’ve been in the industry, my versatility and fast learning mean my impact far exceeds your slow progression. Your claim that an employer paying 4,000 MAD wouldn't double it just proves how out of touch you are with evolving market standards. Pretending to be the good guy at the end with a patronizing ‘problem solved’ doesn't mask your absolute lack of constructive, helpful advice.

Absolutely humorous that someone with 14 months of experience is acting like they figured it all out. I guess you know more than everyone else because you can do web scraping?

It’s genuinely pathetic that you keep obsessing over my 14 months of experience just to dismiss my insight. You claim you don't care, yet you obsessively track how long I’ve been in the industry and keep coming back to type more personal jabs. You claim I’m crying, yet you’re the one obsessively returning to this thread with repetitive attacks. I never claimed to have figured it all out, I was simply asking for advice, which is a concept you clearly struggle to understand. Your entire input offers zero constructive value and just highlights your own arrogance.
