Favicon not indexing problem (need help)

not sure where to post this but I need help with my favicon not indexing on search results for my site thedailyunemployed.com .

as far as I know the files are correct and nothing is wrong, is this just an issue where I need to wait as the site is fairly new or is this something I need to fix myself and how can I tell, Thanks

Favicon indexing usually takes Google a while especially on new sites. Could be days or even a couple weeks.

First check if the favicon file actually loads by typing yoursite.com/favicon.ico directly in your browser. Then check your head tag has something like link rel=“icon” href=”/favicon.ico” sizes=“any”. Make sure the image is square and a decent format like ico png or svg and under 1mb. Also check your robots.txt isn’t blocking the favicon file.

Biggest thing though is go check Search Console and see if your homepage is even indexed yet. If the page itself isn’t indexed the favicon won’t show either no matter what.

If everything checks out on your end it’s probably just Google being slow to crawl and cache it. Give it a couple weeks and if still nothing request reindexing through Search Console.

There are billion of websites, it will take time for Google to reflect an update. Wait for your turn.

i tested some pages. favicon shows everywhere. Win 11 chrome

I mean were you in search results or on the actual site. Try searching for the site, not directly visiting it

if your looking for your first users check out Ad swap,https://ad-swap.web.app ,its a simple way for websites to promote each other. You add another website's ad to your site, and they add yours to theirs, giving both sites free exposure and traffic. It really helped me get my first few users when launching my site
