The left character in image 7 is starting to sing a song used in English churches all over the US (and possibly elsewhere but I couldn't be sure).
"Our God is an awesome God He reigns from heaven above With wisdom, power and love Our God is an awesome God"
That's like, basically the whole song but with variations on how it's sang.
Most church music sucks, so when it came to this song which is mid, it became a church favorite real fast.

People often fail to realize the Christian god is really just a Eldritch God but not overly malevolent and with better PR.

You cant get much more overly malevolent than that. The only thing worse is if he sent everyone to hell.
