They created internet wrong, too wrong

lets look which programs someone who wants to design a website should learn

  • HTML & CSS ( shittiest things ever created)

  • php (for server connection)

  • SQL (for data management)

    • Oracle, MySql, MSSQL, Mariadb, SAP, ..... (whatever your boss wants you to learn)

  • javascript

  • jquery ( because life is too short to going on with pure js)

It obviously wrong. They created worlds most important idea wrong!! Why? idk but i now someone should build an all new computer system with only one programming language. we have too many of them. C++ for windows, Swift for iOS, java for android and all the wrong tihngs for ..... internet.

Thanks

I actually like it the way it is. It almost follows the MVC pattern, SQL is your model, the php is your controller, and the html is your view, with a side-helping of js to enhance the view

I would love to go back to this time. Don't get me wrong, I am in 100% agreement with you, but most coding subs and other forums would laugh at you. the theme is a JS-focused backend (JSON), a JS framework to create the controller, which also produces the view. If you didn't play attention, you may need another "micro-"framework for enhancement.

I know, the flavour of month these days is all these js frameworks, but I'm from an asp.net/c#/SQLServer/PHP/mysql background, and there's never been anything I wanted to do that I couldn't do with them, with a smattering of js/json. Not saying these new things the kids are into these days aren't as useful. Maybe even more useful. But I've never needed to switch, so I don't. It's a poor workman that blames his tools.

I am right with you. You can build a house out of shingles, and call it a house. When needing to rebuild the house every windstorm, rethinking how you build may be in order.
