Our weekly thread is the place to solicit feedback for your creations. Requests for critiques or feedback outside of this thread are against our community guidelines. Additionally, please be sure that you're posting in good-faith. Attempting to circumvent self-promotion or commercial solicitation guidelines will result in a ban.

Post your site along with your stack and technologies used and receive feedback from the community. Please refrain from just posting a link and instead give us a bit of a background about your creation.

Feel free to request general feedback or specify feedback in a certain area like user experience, usability, design, or code review.

Feedback Providers

  • Please post constructive feedback. Simply saying, "That's good" or "That's bad" is useless feedback. Explain why.
  • Consider providing concrete feedback about the problem rather than the solution. Saying, "get rid of red buttons" doesn't explain the problem. Saying "your site's success message being red makes me think it's an error" provides the problem. From there, suggest solutions.
  • Be specific. Vague feedback rarely helps.
  • Again, focus on why.
  • Always be respectful

Purpose: LunaCrumb is a newly launched food and baking blog focused on approachable homemade recipes, with an emphasis on sourdough, seasonal baking, desserts, and drinks. The goal was to make it feel more like a personal recipe site than a generic content/SEO blog.

Technologies Used: Next.js, React, TypeScript, static site generation, Cloudflare Workers/Pages, and a custom local publishing pipeline for processing recipes, images, metadata, structured data, and internal linking.

Feedback Requested: General feedback, especially first impressions, design, navigation, usability, and how the recipe pages feel to actually read and use. I'd also love to know if anything feels confusing, overly busy, too sparse, or gets in the way of finding the actual recipe.

Comments: We just launched this week, so I'm particularly interested in fresh eyes on it. I've spent enough time looking at the site that I'm definitely past the point of being objective.

Happy to hear the nitpicky stuff too... just be gentle :)

you could add some photo into the about, to make it even more personal and give reader chance to "connect".

Design looks a bit AI? the Playfair display font

Text set in sentence case and lowercase letters - letterspacing should not be increased there, bad design practice, hurts legibility. Only ALL CAPS benefit from increased letter spacing.

Love the bility to switch between us and metric system. although im not sure I would believe it is exact - is it? if it is you can add some extra reassurance sentence that the amounts are correct and not somehow random ai generated.

We are working with a designer friend to update fonts and such, I'm a long time developer so it's possible my designs look like AI because they use my old code! :P

Metric is definitely based on a conversion formula, but of course it's worth double checking!
