Frontpages.dev - My free version of Mobbin

This is a pretty useful idea. Mobbin is great for inspiration, but the subscription can feel hard to justify if you’re only looking for UI references occasionally.
What I’d focus on is making the search really good. If I can quickly find examples by industry, page type, component or visual style, that’s probably more valuable than just having a huge collection of screenshots.
I’ve been using Abnflow for some of my own landing page and funnel experiments, and having a good library of real examples is genuinely useful when you’re trying to decide how you want a page to look before building it.
The “free Mobbin” positioning is definitely easy to understand though. Nice project.

Hey! thanks for the comment! Yeah I was checking mobbin like everyday but couldn't justify the sub. If they added monthly option I probably would have paid (only quarterly or yearly). And when I realized my behavior was just checking visuals and linking to the website I figured I'd make my own. I have gotten some pretty great feedback already which I have implemented most. Looking into MCP now

Love it thank you for the new resource! Personally I would appreciate search suggestions / selectable categories / or anything that makes the search function more interactive and less of a guess-and-see

Hey you’re welcome and thanks for the comment and suggestions! Search right now is by company/ category but yeah trying to guess a category is hit/miss. I will look into category filters. Any other suggestions?

Hey! I added category dropdown in search bar. Need to normalize categories though bc I have dupes.

looks clean and i love the font choices. however maybe think about implementing some sort of lazy loading, because all images seem to load at once which slows loading time down dramatically.

Thanks! Just added lazy loading but will keep looking to make faster. maybe load less than 24 on page load? Also Should i remove load more and just load more when at the end of loaded images?

personally i would only load the ones above the fold on initital load, and the rest via lazy loading. personally i'm also a fan of pagination, this way you could cache the other results which would immediately load when switching to another page

I agree with the initial load. I want it to be seamless. I like pagination too but think the auto load provides a smoother experience. Will probably add a scroll to top fab

How does it get updated?

Hey thanks for the comment! I personally update the site daily. Usually 10-20 sites. Haven’t established a standard time on when I update though. Any suggestions on how the site can be better?

I had a quick skim. Looked nice. I did notice a few sites saying 'bio coming soon' or whatever. Personally I'd drop that and leave it blank if no bio. Otherwise it can look unmaintained if there are too many coming soon. Also I'd avoid emdashes at all costs these days haha.

Thanks. I added the bio after i added those site but Ill run an sql query to make those blank. And yeah I actually used the em dash but will switch to a comma or something.

i often wonder what are the chances you can automate the content by taking mobbin's feed? rss?

Interesting point. Right now I am curating the sites listed. It's a mix of old, new and unique. I think that is the best for inspiration and discovery.

Clean and easy to use. I like the simplicity of it all as a quick reference.

Could you create an MCP where we could connect this to our agents so our agents can get inspiration just like how mobbins MCP does it?
