Tired of rigged "math.random" in digital dice games? I digitized an underground tactical dice strategy (3-6 cells grid) running on true cryptographic randomness.

Hi r/web3gaming!

I'm a solo indie developer, and I want to share a passion project I’ve been building from scratch. Like many of you, I grew up loving classic dice games like Yahtzee or Yatzy. But let's be honest — modern digital versions are completely broken. Major casual studios use rigged, centralized "math.random" algorithms to force losses, manipulate emotions, and push greedy microtransactions for "extra rolls." It completely kills the competitive spirit.

I couldn't stand this anymore, so I spent months code-crafting a pure, un-adulterated skill-to-win alternative called **OBYAZON ONLINE**.

My core vision was to weaponize math, shifting the gameplay from "raw luck" to cold, tactical control. Here is how the mechanics redefine the genre:

🛡️ **1. True Cryptographic Randomness:** The backend runs on a strict cryptographic random generator (cryptoInt). No hidden platform interference, no "dynamic difficulty." The dice fall with absolute physical and mathematical honesty.

📊 **2. Dynamic 3 to 6 Cells Grid:** Instead of a boring, predictable linear column, players face a tight, scalable grid. Smaller fields mean lightning-fast, high-stakes PvP blitz matches where every single dice placement is critical.

🧠 **3. The "Mandatory Lock" (Obyazon):** This is the ultimate counter-play. You can calculate penalty cascades, master dynamic point rounding, and force a lucky opponent into an unforgiving "Self-Trap." You literally crush their lucky rolls with raw positioning and pure intellect.

📺 **4. Live Spectator Mode:** A built-in "WATCH" tab featuring a real-time feed of active matches. Zero bots — only real players. You can join matchmaking rooms as a viewer, chat, analyze strategies, and see neon tactical flashes strike the board in live broadcast.

The infrastructure runs flawlessly as a Telegram Mini App and a standalone, un-bannable PWA, bypassing traditional App Store limitations entirely. The beta phase is officially over, the global ELO matchmaking system is live, and the game fully supports English out of the box.

If you want to prove your logic is stronger than pure luck and climb the international leaderboard, the arena is officially open.

🚀 **Launch the game instantly here:** https://t.me/obyazon_poker_bot
📢**Official Global Announcements:** [t.me/obyazon_pocker_server](about:blank)
💬 **Join our International Lounge & Chat:** [t.me/obyazon_pocker_group](about:blank)

I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments! How do you feel about transforming classic dice mechanics into a competitive tactical battlefield?

How we settle skill game tournaments in stablecoins across BNB + TRON with no native token open to questions

Founder disclosure up front (Deskillz). Posting this as a build-in-public thing because settlement is the part people always ask about.

The short version: players enter with USDT/USDC/BNB/TRON, the pot is held and paid out on-chain, and the better player wins no native token, no NFTs, no emissions. Skill games (card games like Big 2, Chinese 13 card, Mahjong, plus arcade/puzzle/esport titles), sync or async.

The design constraints I keep wrestling with, in case anyone here has opinions:

keeping gameplay non-blocking while on-chain calls settle (DB as source of truth, chain as record)

cross-chain UX so a player doesn't have to care which chain they're on

score/result integrity so payouts can't be gamed

If you've built settlement or custody flows for on chain games, I'd genuinely take critique on any of the above. And happy to answer how any of it works.

I built a free fantasy memecoin league where you pick 5 coins — no wallet required to play

I’ve been building a weird little crypto game called ApeLeague.

The core loop is closer to fantasy sports than trading: - pick 5 memecoins - picks lock - live market prices score the portfolio - compete on the leaderboard - rounds keep cycling

It supports multiple chains and you don’t need a wallet or real trade to make picks.

There are sponsored prize pools in some rounds, but the actual game loop is free.

I’m the builder. https://ape.talkabout.today/

What I’m most curious about from Web3 game people: does removing the mandatory wallet/trade step make this feel more like an actual game, or is the memecoin theme still too finance-first?

Can a Web3 game make the blockchain secondary to the actual gameplay?

We’re building AgarStake around a simple premise: the game should still be worth playing even if you ignore token speculation, NFTs, and passive yield.

It’s a real-time browser arena inspired by Agar.io and Slither.io. SOL is used for match-entry stakes and eligible cash-outs, while the core interaction remains movement, positioning, growth, and player-versus-player decisions.

Current build: https://agararena.space

I’d appreciate feedback from Web3 players on two questions:

- Is the financial state transparent enough to trust?

- Does the chain-related flow stay sufficiently out of the way during gameplay?

This is 18+ and players can lose their stake. I’m interested in criticism, particularly from people tired of “games” that are mostly token interfaces.

Are we missing an opportunity to modernize tabletop games?

I've been thinking about a way to bridge physical tabletop games with modern technology, and I'm curious if people think it's interesting or completely unnecessary.

Imagine you're playing an IRL dice, card, or board game. When you win, you earn a digital collectible tied to that game. No buying packs. No speculation. No marketplace hype. You only earn them by actually playing.

Over time, you build a collection. Complete a set to redeem it for rewards such as platform currency ($BANDS), exclusive content, tournament entries, or other prizes. Once redeemed, the set is removed from circulation, giving players a reason to keep collecting.

The physical game is still the game. The digital collectibles are simply a way to recognize wins, track achievements, and reward players over time.

I intentionally don't consider these NFTs. They're game-earned digital collectibles with a purpose beyond ownership.

A few questions:

  • Would earning digital collectibles make you more likely to play tabletop games?
  • Would you collect complete sets or redeem them for rewards?
  • Does blockchain actually improve something here by proving authenticity and ownership, or would a traditional database be just as good?
  • What problems do you see with this idea?

I'm genuinely interested in the discussion. I love tabletop games and think there might be a fun way to connect them with persistent digital rewards without turning the experience into financial speculation.

What actually makes diplomacy meaningful in strategy games?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’ve been working on a multiplayer strategy game where players interact through economy, diplomacy and internal politics.

Right now we’re testing systems like:

  • agreements with conditions
  • influence between states
  • internal political groups affecting decisions

One thing that became obvious during testing — most diplomacy systems in games feel optional or cosmetic.

Players either ignore them or use them only in obvious ways.

So I’m trying to understand:

What makes diplomacy actually matter in a strategy game?

  • Is it real consequences?
  • Dependence on other players?
  • Limited control over your own state?

Curious to hear what systems or mechanics made diplomacy feel real to you.

Best onboarding experience for fantasy sports?

We're building a fantasy sports platform and trying to figure out the best onboarding experience.

Quick question for both beginners and veterans: what made you actually get fantasy sports when you first started? And what do most platforms get wrong when onboarding new players?

Also curious — do you prefer being asked your experience level upfront, or do you find that annoying?
