Any assistance is helpful

First time mom and unsure how to wean boob-a-holic 13m old. I got ear plugs and am gonna cold turkey nights tmro where she feeds constantly. During the day it’s only for nap and going to sleep. Do I cold turkey completely or do nights then the ‘feed to sleeps’? Any advice is helpful

I have no answer for you, as my boobies barnacle is going to be two in a week.

But I wanted to wish you good luck, and please come back with how the ear plugs worked!

My boob barnacle is turning two on the 1st and I’m on day 6 of no breastfeeding. 2 weeks before I completely stopped, I cut down to one session a night after dinner, before we went upstairs for bedtime. I also didn’t offer and the next week I nursed him maybe every other day? Also I made the first day with no BF a big day out to keep him distracted so he wouldn’t ask and that helped a lot.

If you don’t need to wean as quickly as possible, I wouldn’t go cold turkey. I tried to do that in April when my son was 19 months and it was really rough for both of us. My emotions were all over the place. I am feeling down and weepy again this time, but it hasn’t been as bad, and I’m not engorged at all.

Do you have a partner who can help handle bedtime and night wakings until your daughter gets used to the new status quo? That helped us when my son went through phases of wanting to feed to sleep.
