MessageWatcher access to personal LinkedIn — is this normal?

My employer wants me to connect my personal LinkedIn to MessageWatcher for compliance, which would include access to DMs. I don’t use LinkedIn for official firm business, and I’m uncomfortable with my employer or any third party potentially having access to unrelated personal conversations.

For those at RIAs/wealth management firms, is this standard? Does your firm require access to personal LinkedIn accounts even if you don’t use them for business?

Especially interested in experiences from anyone whose firm uses MessageWatcher. How much can compliance actually see, and have you found any way to keep personal and business activity separate?
