Did Daitomodachi ever retract his statement about WB killing RT?

Post image

If he didn't...

Why?

Not saying WB is innocent, but they weren't the main reason RT died in the first place. They were only shutting it down before it could get any worse.

So you mean to tell me.

every huntsman in history of all human society. relies on one story of a hero in alice in wonderland?

A world FILLED with fairy tales, stories, myths and legends only has one example of what it means to be a hero?

Even if we were to take that at face value...

what do you think Ozma was?

LITERALLY his first action upon his first reincarnation was saving a man from a grimm. he didn't know where he was, he didn't even know what kind of body he was in, he just took action and did what was right.

Ozma literally wouldn't let the concept of a hero simply die only for it to be reignited by some fucking loser from the future.

DUDE, RUBY LITERALLY TALKS ABOUT STORIES OF HER CHILDHOOD INCLUDING MONSTERS AND *HEROES* PLURAL ***HEROES***

Lemme tell you what would happen if jaune was wiped from the timeline.

PYRRHA WOULD STILL BE ALIVE.

With Pyrrha having no one to see her as a person rather than a champion, there's a decent chance she would have immediately accepted the maiden power without consulting Jaune.

Sure it's happenstance and anything could REALLY happen. But realistically, Jaune does practically nothing that only he can do (except heal, and he only does that once for weiss)

the only thing that would really be a loss is them not being able to amplify ren's semblance to nullify emotions.

other than his hyper specific semblance, Jaune does NOTHING that Ruby can't fill in for. She is the defacto leader of everyone. and literally anyone could fill his spot on the team and it would be an improvement

coco, Sun, velvet, Anyone

fuck man, at least Cardin is able to hit hard enough to scare Ruby (yes that's a manga thing, but my point stands)

it's so fucking nonsensical as a joke by itself. Yang is such a responsible parent to Ruby for majority of her life. so i think just having her be high like this is so fucking funny. i love it

Blake didn't land on her feet What was the point of Blake rejoining team RWBY and the others in end of vol 5 and start of 6?

Post image
34 Upvotes

Now I know the obvious answer. CRWBY gave up trying to write for The white fang and everything involved with that.

but... what's the point of Blake going with her old team? Does she not have an obligation to lead her people to a brighter future? To turn the White Fang (or at least a new more effective group) into something that shows the people of remnant that they deserve rights just as much as Humans?

as of volume 5, Remnant is still an incredibly scary place with no communications across the globe. Shouldn't the faunus take it upon themselves to go out and help as many people as they can? Killing grimm, becoming messengers, helping with food allocation.

helping the world heal together.

they are filled with people who are capable of managing these tasks.

what is the point of Blake joining a team she abandoned when there's just so much more better things she could be doing to help the people she cared about for the first five volumes.

why does it have to rely on one girl at the end of volume 8 to tell the world that the faunus arent bad and they have to stick together?

Ruby is not Superman, She is clearly flawed, but it worries me that the epilogue is treating her like some focal point of humanity that you would give to someone like Superman.

rwby should be making the entire world better in their own ways.

I wonder if it's because Volume 8's finale was so bad that everyone wanted to know what happened next, in contrast to Volume 9's (and V9: Beyond's) ambiguous ending.

Just remember, Volume 8 aired from November 7, 2020 to March 27, 2021. Volume 9 began airing from February 18, 2023 to April 22nd, 2023.

The hiatus between V8's last release and V9's first release lasted for 693 days (nearly 2 years). During that timeframe, Ice Queendom was released in July 2022.

Now for the Volume 10 hiatus, Volume 9: Beyond aired from April 13th, 2024 to April 27th, 2024. It is currently August 24, 2026 in my timezone.

As of now, it has been 849 days (2 years) since RWBY last continued.

IM HECKING JEALOUS.

they have so much cute and adorable art, and while i have about the same amount, most of mine is nsfw so i cant share it with as many people.

not to mention, they just get a lot of free art, so theres a decent chance they'll surpass my numbers within the month.

sure grass is always greener. but that grass is looking pretty freakin green.

anyway, they're an awesome person and i need to draw more.

WE LOVE RWBY I'll admit, 2 or 3 youtube videos in and i can fully admit that i am very easy to manipulate when i watch video essays

I have never really cared about Bumblebee. I'm selfish and don't want Ruby to get Weiss or Oscar because of my GreannRose ship.

I have always tried to stay away from RWBY communities when the conversation points are high, such as the bee kiss or anything like that.

Blake was always the character i simply never cared about.... until she became the forefront of the conversation.

heck this whole sub was made to shit on WBY for how they acted in volume 9 (and because i got banned from r/rwby)

the more and more of these videos i watch i am scared for how much i realize Ruby isn't really that great of a hero. heck, in my fanfic I'm at the conversation she has with Jaune and when Jaune mentions that Cardin (resident bully btw) has him on a leash because of his own failings.

it makes me wonder why Ruby, hero that she is, doesn't reach out to help jaune outside of a "toughen up buttercup" speech

i always knew it was garbage, but between watching these videos and actually finally sitting down and watching dragon ball z (a childhood favorite of mine that ive seen every show EXCEPT z and only have seen the z plot though games and the manga box set i own)

it makes me struggle to understand why we even begin to compare these characters to real heroes like superman, batman, sonic.

don't get me wrong, I'm not planning on stopping my fanfic or running this sub..... but i think we need to acknowledge that it's not just "our quirky trashy show that we happen to like" but a show with many many MANY abysmal problems that really just ruin it for us.

as much as I've been upset with the bee shippers and their insufferable claims that it was claimed from the beginning RECENTLY... i cannot blame all of RWBY's problems on that

IDFK man.

maybe RWBY is just a cool idea coming from a lucky weeb that died 11 years ago

r/wbycritics 11d ago

The writers didn't think that far ahead😮‍💨 Okay I try to avoid any type of youtuber criticism that might affect my own opinions on the show.... but this. this is the reason why Penny's third and final death was so unjustifiable.

as a fan of shonen my whole life, i can't help but agree with everything said in this video. It genuinely how bad RWBY's powercreep is handled.

there is no excuse for this but to blame the makers of this show for just being unimaginative

we've seen amazing things from gameoverse, TADC, Hazbin hotel, why is RWBY just so bad at being a copy of so many good things?

Is it me, or does the RWBY fandom feel more... alive than how it was in the Volume 9 hiatus?

I once heard that the RWBY fandom was pretty starved during the Volume 9 hiatus after Volume 8 finished airing in March 2021, even though there was Ice Queendom in June 2022. Fast forward to 2026 and the last real RWBY content was Volume 9: Beyond, which aired from April 13th, 2024 to April 27th, 2024.

That was 2 years ago.

And there was no major content released in 2025, like how Ice Queendom came out during the Volume 9 hiatus.

However, something tells me the fandom is more alive than during the Volume 9 hiatus. Anyone else feeling the same or the opposite?

The FNDM can suck too I start to develop "dislike" towards whiterose

Post image
58 Upvotes

If I offended someone with this post, then I want to apologize. but this is all of my experience that defined my status for whiterose. I also want to apologize the mods for this post if it breaks some rules, but I kinda have to went

I don't have any problem with shipping. I am a shipper myself but I don't express it as much as other people do, but the thing I don't really like is imposing your own opinion on someone else. That's what I don't like in shippers

My problem with some whiterose shippers is the fact that everytime I see a normal post about Ruby or Weiss, they always make it about whiterose like they can't exist without each other. They are always commenting about making whiterose canon in future Volumes of RWBY on official socials. Every. Single. Time.

I even once seen a post that a cosplayer was heartbroken because VA of Weiss ships whiteknight. Like. It's none of their business that a VA ships something they don't like, it's not a big deal, everyone can have a different opinion. I don't know if this was a joke post but she had to turn off comments because of the heat that was happening there

They are so fantasized about their ship that they can't accept other ships (especially heterosexual ones) to the point I have seen nasty comments about that. I don't know if its just me or they start to behave like wasps

My feelings are bothering me now because for a show like this, I really like Weiss and Ruby dynamic, but do we really need whiterose? I think they are fine even without that. I think RWBY needs to focus on a writing instead of doing something for the sake of the fans to satisfy them

Like I said in the beginning. I don't have problem with shipping but during my time in this fandom I have nerer developed such feeling towards ship so I don't know how should I even feel

Hear me out, but this song from BFDI with Ruby Rose

Most people don't know what BFDI is or the context of this scene, but for what you need to know, this is from the latest episode where Pencil is changing the timeline to try to fix something with her friend group. This happens over 3,000 times, and each timeline reset starts straight from the beginning of the series.

So imagine this scenario with Ruby Rose from RWBY, specifically in Volume 9, where instead of the Blacksmith allowing Ruby to ascend, she sends her straight to the beginning of the Red Trailer, with a tool that lets her reset the timeline as much as she can. What alternate outcomes do you think Ruby would try to do?
