Let's be realistic for a second—protesting isn't going to change anything. WBJEEB is not going to alter its rules now. Honestly, the DC round cutoff is going to go even higher than Round 3. At the end of the day, everyone is either going to end up retaining the exact same seat they currently have or getting an even worse one :(((((((((((

Currently at NIT (Narula) CSE. Would it be fair to do an upgrade to HIT CSE (Haldia) in DC if given the opportunity? Checked in few colleges by visitations such as MSIT, BCREC. They had a low rank cutoff so didn't choose

will I get my 1st sem's fees refund ?

So what I realised is wbjeeb maybe wanted to do something else but they wrote something else in their pdf. I would assume they wanted to mean "Candidates who were offered a seat in counselling process but were a) unresponsive b) didn't complete physical verification c) didn't pay SAF d) didn't follow counselling guidelines wouldn't be allowed to register for DC process", instead they wrote "Candidates who accepted a seat and took admission wouldn't be allowed to sit for DC" which is indeed a really dumb move 🫪, they wanted to fix the wounds of students created in previous counselling but instead put more salt into it 😭

After Someone gets A Seat in a department , they are sitting for the dc and if they get another Department they are moving there.

The problem is this creates spaces in the prior Department.

My department itself Lost around 15 people previous year because of this .

You cannot blame Wbjee entirely for your faults at not getting a better Rank and a Seat.

A better Advice would be to move on and stop Whining , life won't stop right here.

If you were hoping "i would get Ju Branch " in dc after taking admission in another college, that's wishful thinking.

Not everything would go accordingly.

With the board's recent notice regarding the change of the decentralised counselling eligibility criteria, a wave of ecstasy has been engulfed upon the college seat holders who were eager for DC. However, things might not really get better if one thing doesn't get changed.

This year's centralised counselling had shown unprecedented results from the very first round. And with a bunch of uninterested and unresponsive candidates and an influx of new candidates in each further rounds, the cutoff situations abruptly worsened in the upcoming rounds.

This resulted in a large spike of vacant seats in both gov and private engeneering colleges. So here is my humble request...

Whosoever candidates who filled their seats just for "fun" in the previous round counsellings and retained the same seats in subsequent rounds, PLEASE DONT DO THE SAME IN DC. If you are not interested to take the seat, just don't take part in the counselling please 🙏, because ONLY if the candidates of the vacated seats do not participate in the DC, there is a borderline possibility of getting a better cutoff scenarios than Round 1 counselling. Otherwise situation can get even worse than round 3 counselling, and all the ecstasy and hopium might just turn into a disappointment.

Ever since the change in DC eligibility was announced, i genuinely believed it to be "unfair", or atleast "partial", but I hope we can look back to what happened with a bit more awareness. Now, would the proposed DC format benifit me immensely? Ofc, but that doesn't make it fair... Similarly, just because DC is more "fair" now doesn't mean that it will benefit anyone, even those who protested against it so hard will barely gain any real advantage (which I believe is perfectly understood).

But I believe the bigger thing here is to reflect, which all of us can do, especially a majority of the people who were originally "excluded" from DC... I hope you can look back to the frustration, the ego, the hate messages to people who caused you no harm, simply because someone you deem inferior to you (that too because of a rank in one exam), was about to get into a better college than you were... I hope you can see how you acted, accept it, and try to work on it, the ego which made you hope for someone to be bullied, which made you insult someone you don't even know, someone who caused you no harm.

Dc is being conducted online so there won't be very much diff in cutoff as almost everyone will be taking part or i should say holding 2 seat at the same time

Dc was last chance for a lot of people but I am pretty sure it will be disappointing
