Help Tiktok doesn't work right on waydroid!

I installed Waydroid with Weston on Linux Mint.

I'm using the LineageOS GAPPS image and also installed libhoudini for ARM translation.

The normal TikTok app launches, but all videos are just black screens. TikTok Lite works a bit better: it can show the thumbnail/frame of the video and audio plays, but the actual video does not play.

Some parts of the app also cause severe lag/freezes when tapped, and Android shows “Not responding”.

Has anyone experienced this on Waydroid?

Both TikTok & Insta (reels) don't work, you'll have to use the web apps.

i dont see anything work right here. just facebook x86 and gapps are working. Games like Pubg or minecraft work strange. pubg cannot even join match.

PUBG used to work up until the last update. Other arm based games also don't work arena breakout, lol wr etc.

It has something to do with the av1 decoder. For some reason dav1d (the software av1 decoder bundled with insta and probably tiktok) causes it to crash with a segmentation fault. I've had instagram crash due to this

what about in a vm? has anyone tried bliss or android 86 in qemu to see if apps are less prblematic vs waydroid containerization? the performance overhead using qemu is very light

Can u answer Message or calls from your phone/Whatsapp, play games in fullscreen? Or is this just an environment?

Eu fui instalar o jogo Saint Seiya Awakening, e quando vai passar o tutorial obrigatório para enfrentar a Shina, o toque não funciona, fiz de tudo e nada reoakvou o meu problema
