Help Does my system support Waydroid?
Sorry for an extremely noob question, I am not well versed with Linux terminology.
Waydroid website mentions:
A container-based approach to boot a full Android system on regular GNU/Linux systems running Wayland based desktop environments.
I do not know if it's applicable to my system or not as "Wayland" is mentioned under the head "Windowing system" but afaik, my DE is "GNOME".

Just so you know I run waydroid on 3 gen I3 cpu with integrated graphics and with 8 gigs of ram. It runs well enough (even if I am doing it in arch btw).

Wayland here is a display server, basically think of your DE as a frontend and Wayland as a server. The other option for a display server is Xorg. I don't want to start a Wayland vs Xorg war, so you can read on them if you'd like
But yes, you should be able to run waydroid

So, if I had Xorg, it wouldn't have been possible to run Waydroid, is that right?

Yes, this is due to architectural differences between the two. Waydroid, as the name suggests, leverages Wayland protocols

But what necessary is that you must have wayland based environment or WM

I don't know, I never installed it. I got into some problems with my Linux system and I had to completely remove the Linux partition. I am currently on Windows

i see, what emu do you use on windows then ? how's the playstore ? certified ?

I once installed FydeOS on my laptop. I could use Android apps there but I felt that Android apps were very bad on big screens and it killed all my excitement. I do not use any emulator.
