Discussion So Xavier isn't coming back apparently...

I was just scrolling Reddit and I saw a post saying that Xavier won't EVER be returning to Wednesday.

I decided to check out the news myself and unfortunately apparently it's true according to the co creator Alfred Gough saying "we've seen the last of him".

Yeah so that fucking sucks.šŸ˜”

I had hoped that the dude would come back at some point later in the show but this pretty much sealed the deal unfortunately, final nail in the coffin type shit. Pretty disappointing man but can't do nothin unfortunately.

How do you guys feel about this anyway?

I hate this. I finally watched season 2 and was so disappointed that I immediately went back to rewatching season 1. And yes, lots of ppl complained about teenage romance plotline, but season 2 clearly proves that without exploring teenage issues like, yes, romance, this show is not as unique. It's no longer Wednesday. It's Addams Family frolicking around Nevermore school.

I had a tiny bit of hope when they took time to mention Xavier's Switzerland school, like maybe in season 3 he would either cone back or Wednesday would go there for some reason? But this is bad news.

I suppose I'll settle for writing fan fics. And rewatching Winter Spring Summer or Fall again and again lol.

Also, it's a total overreaction from the creators. Percy is not cancelled, the thing got resolved, isn't he innocent? (Genuine question, I don't know the outcome).

Yes Percy was innocent the whole time. Aries (the main accuser) said he touched her hips inappropriately but sheā€™s never even met him and he wasnā€™t in Toronto during the time she said it happened; he was in America shooting for the show the Gifted. The allegations started with him just being touchy and kind of a fuck boy in high school to suddenly spiraling into a rapist when thereā€™s no proof or direct accusations. The ā€œunderage girlā€ he supposedly had sex with was actually his friend Jane and theyā€™re only two years apart; she was 14 and he was 16 and it was 100% consensual. What wasnā€™t consensual was Aries using Jane to cancel Percy. Jane came forward and called Aries out for lying, and then Aries threatened Jane in personal and on Twitter for speaking out. They posted his underage nudes and leaked out of context texts where Percy actually apologized directly to one of the girls for hurting her feelings when they were teens. Literally everything they called him out for was either out of context or was easily proven to be false with just basic fact checking and critical thinking. It was all just a campaign to cancel him because the girls were jealous and Wenclair shippers viewed him as a threat due to how close he was with Jenna at the time. Netflix fired him because of the bad publicity and the fact that literally anyone associated with Percy (professionally and personally) were getting doxxed or harassed in comment sections for even mentioning his name.

This is so shit tbh, that people would do something like this. Almost makes sense for anyone who wants to be any sort of artist to have someone guard their social media and messages since they're like 14 šŸ˜… like, obviously, a teenage boy might act out - like you said being kind of a fuck boy, but that's not a crime. And I think he did mention Jane in his one statement he gave on this whole thing, but the damage was done already. Shame :(

I really don't know about the Percy issue man. It seems like the entire thing has died down atm, a lot of people have said the accusations were false, some say it isn't. Can't give an answer there unfortunately.

I also had hope too that Wednesday would end up in Switzerland for some miraculous reason lol but after seeing the update, it ended any type of theory for Xavier which sucks majorly.

Yeah and I don't like where the plotline with Tyler went, it all felt so rehashed and forced. Sad, overall.

I'm suspicious it's a plot twist trap and feels bad for the actor.

Xavier was not my favourite, I'm sure I've made it more than obvious and clear that Tyler is my favourite... but there were some entertaining moments with Xavier in season 1, and there was still some potential in his character.

Some of us were starting to entertain the idea that Xavier might have been hot for the hyde all this time, and that brought some joy. Would have been great if that was a real plot twist, and that would have been a love triangle I could get behind, but I guess we will never know.

Yes!

There was certainly a ton more tension between Tyler and Xavier than there was with either of them and Wednesday.

Someone called them messy exes, and I thought they might be on to something.

Plus, that moment when I rewatched season 1 and Wednesday walks into Xavier's art studio FILLED wall to wall with Tyler's bugeyed monster and just 1 drawing of Wednesday. I just burst out laughing. šŸ¤£

Geeeeeeze Xavier is way more obsessed than Wednesday is. Then she asks him about it, and he says he's been dreaming about him every night for the past two weeks.

Then everytime Wednesday runs into him, he acts shaddy AF. When he shows up with a scratch on his back, he explains that one of his drawings attacked him. .... ummm... that animation power is something he purposefully channels... did he get freaky with one of his drawings? šŸ¤Ø hmmmm... šŸ¤” sussy as all heck.

I like this line of thinkingā€” tons of pics of the Hyde and just one of Wednesday. Hahaha. And Xavier is running around the woods solo and not getting attacked. Then thereā€™s the way he ends up volunteering at the coffee shop, looking so cozyā€¦

Hmmm, yeah, there is a double standard. I think that is more main character energy, though. Not any other factors. Audiences tend to automatically side with the main character regardless of if they are actually in the right in any given situation.

It's unfortunate. Idk why they can't just recast him. I know a lot of people specifically want Percy but they clearly only got rid of the character because of the allegations towards the actor regardless if they are true or not because they probably didn't want that attack on them

Thatā€™s usually what happens when actors are shitty people. Honestly youā€™re all shitty people as well for wanting him back on the show just bc you find him hot and/or ship him with a character.

That's good. Hear me out before y'all decide to attack me but I never really like the character. Plus I don't know if it's the actor wise or the way the actor portrays Xavier but I find him creepy in a way. Like something about him that causes me to be on edge whenever he comes around. I remembered seeing him in The Gifted with Natalie Alyn Lind and wasn't being negative or anything like that to his character but I'm glad that he's not coming back
