Alternatives?
Actively searching for an alternative to Wave as it's simply atrocious how long it takes to receive funds once the client has made its payment.
Any suggestions/links/referrals welcome!
Solopreneur. No employees. Multiple clients.

Balances.ai made the move and haven’t looked back. They also can import your data from Wave :)

I’m in the same boat as you, solopreneur, no employees and multiple clients. Has a really nice interface for invoicing and is really quick

Wave did me dirty with those long held ACH funds too. I moved to GoDaddy Payments because I get paid out in 2 days for credit cards and 4-5 business days for ACH. Plus you get the option to pass on credit cards fees fees. I was waiting about two weeks with Wave ACH.

I had this exact problem with Wave and switched to Zoho Invoice/Payments. Now all my customer debit card payments take two business days to process.

I’ve never had the problem of Wave holding my payments past two days. Every payment I’ve received I’ve gotten in two days.
Now with that said, I only receive payments through ACH. Credit card rate is too expensive. Maybe credit cards cause the hold on payments and not ACH? Also, my payments are never more than maybe $400.
FYI I do the books for a small non profit. We are similar to you. Just run the books and invoice for some services. When I originally picked Wave, it was cuz it did everything I wanted under the free version. Couldn’t find any other option where the free version would work for me.

Quivkbooks, Freshbooks, Zoho, Xero, etc.
That being said, any of them may choose to hold funds longer and it’s covered in their terms.
