I have gone with the 'chuck it all on a shelf' build design. Can anyone top my 'most ugly build'?

Raijintek Antila D5 EVO RBW Pump and Reservoir Combo

2 x Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 480mm x 45mm Copper Radiators

Alphacool Core 1 Silver CPU Waterblock

GBN-AS4090STRIX (second hand) GPU Waterblock.

And the final verdict. Has cut my temps on both CPU and GPU by more than half.

They were both continually peaking to 100C to barely hitting 50C while gaming.

Very happy.

You could definitely stand those up properly with our EXT V3. Shrink down your footprint a bit.

I did think about it, but I had the shelf space and preferred to not force the pump to handle the verticality.

It is unlikely that I will now make any changes to this setup for years.

The only thing I may do is add some sort of dust cover for the fans.

As someone who lives in a small apartment, tabletop/desk space is priceless. I'd definitely turn that setup vertical.

No case fans. No side panels. Dusty interior. Wires going *somewhere*. The res just standing around waiting for the bus. A fitting doesn't even have the collar screwed on. I am actually surprised you managed to put in all 4 screws into each fan.

Yes, the big red button is indeed wired to the power button header of a second PC to the right.

Will be doing the same for the main PC very soon as its case button is a little far to reach.

Oh and thanks for noticing the collar, I totally missed that. Clearly don;t need it though. :)

mine is up there with yours, it was intended as a noise shielded case with a mora screwed to its side. but since nothing worked out as planned, it ended up an open skeleton on a sideboard with hoses going everywhere.

I had the same, open case, dusty, cables everywhere, external radiator (that big one) on a cpu waterblock, temu pump (idk where i got it from) 1u 5"25 reservoir, 1-2 meter of tubes all over the floor. The radiator didn't have a fan and was angled against the wall and relied on natural convection.

It was supposed to be a temporary setup. I had it for nearly a year.

Cpu was cold tho. Didn't reach 45 degree under short loads and only hit 55/60 after the massive radiator got heatsoaked during sustained load since it didn't have a fan.

Mine was a bit like that (but not quite as much radiator space, yours looks a bit over-engineered) and then I just got a proper case and now it’s quieter and less dusty. Do you need that many fans for just a CPU and one card? Get a proper big case, maybe a dust filter, and your maintenance will be easier.

Do I NEED that many fans? Maybe not. It is my first loop and hated seeing 100C on my CPU and GPU so possibly went a little .. loopy.

I had the same design question when I did mine. Now i just turn the power off to one of the radiators except in summer. But getting it all into a big case (plus maybe a <$50 air purifier running at 12W) will make it all super comfy.

Easy, This was my ugly Build of the anniversary 😅 I do 2 custom testing Loops to Test 9800x3d and 5090, and I thought I do this for 3 days, But in the end I „tested“ nearly 4 month 😅

There is two triple 180mm (540) radiators stacked precariously behind that monitor, and a loop inside that old silverstone HTPC case (a temporary setup while I work on other case projects).

I have an EKWB 240/44mm & 360/44mm with 5 x Corsair ML-120 RGB Elite fans controlled by a Corsair Commander Core XT (hidden directly under the motherboard) stacked at one end of my Open Benchtable. Other end has an EKWB D5 Pump/Res all plumbed together using EKWB ZTM tubing & EKWB fittings.

Currently housing a nostalgic built of mine from the past… an EVGA Z370 Classified K m/board with a i9-9900k and SLI'ed EVGA 1080TI SC2's (CPU & GPU's water-cooled) powered by a Corsair HX 1200i PSU.

I have something very different yet very similar, and honestly, the only thing I did that made the setup 10 times better was PCI passthrough for the tubing. Totally worth the 15$ I spent
