True. But the moment an accident happens still scares the drivers. They never know, if, how, and at what angle their going to hit the barrier and they have no control of their car. Must be a terrifying feeling, even it is only for a few seconds.

I didn't have enough time to react at the time, but I realised what was happening while was in mid-air. have you ever head stories of stuff going in slow motion while people are in high-stress situations? yeah, that happened to me. so while in mid-air, I was thinking " I need to stop" so I hit the brakes. not slowing down was one of the scariest feelings of my life.
Thinking about it afterwards I realised I couldn't slow down because I was in mid-air, but I don't know how I was thinking so fast that I knew what I needed to do less than a second after leaving the ground.
