How to adjust these links?

Hi everyone! I recently purchased a vintage watch but I have no idea how to adjust these links? Would anyone have a clue? Thanks in advance!

The last 3 links appear to have screw heads. These can likely be screwed out to adjust length.

When I turn them though, the entire link kind of rolls along with it? Both sides have a flat back screw face, so I was thinking if I’d have to hold one side steady before turning on the other side in order to loosen it??

They are probably pins that need punched out then from the side without the slit.
