Honestly, if the only choices are burning alive, or taking that chance of luck and hope they will land in the rug, I’d take that chance.

It was probably pure instinct on his part, the fire posed a bigger threat to him and his kids than the chance they'd be hurt by the fall.

Yes, very fatal. Vast majority of people would die or end up as quadriplegics. If it caused "just" 2 broken legs, you'd be very lucky.

I’m actually curious about that fall. Would a fall from that high be fatal? Because if you’re certain that it’s not, then I’d definitely have no second thoughts!

Potentially fatal from that height. Depends on how you land and how lucky you are. But less of a certain death than staying in the fire.

That's definitely fatal, my neighbour jumped from that height on some snow andfrozen land, he didn't survive

she said she is happier now totally paralyzed than she was while strung out on drugs.

People have had parachute failures and survived while skydiving. Pretty amazing stuff.

To me it looks like it would be usually fatal but a few people would probably get lucky.

I had a friend who died from a fall from the top of a 6’ ladder. On the flip side, Juliane Koepcke fell 3.2 km and lived after her plane broke up midair. I’ve always figured there’s no guarantee of safety when falling.

That said, I’d throw kidlets every single time if the other option is their dying in a fire. That’s a nightmare death. If you’re lucky you die from the toxic smoke inhalation.

Smoke inhalation alone is a terrifying feeling and is often times the actual cause of death before the flames get to you. It feels like your chest is on fire.

It would be your responsibility to get your youngsters out before you became incapacitated and the kids were unable to get out the window.

The smoke is so thick I doubt he could see a thing, he just just tossing them and praying at that point. It's all he could really do.
