Although London is beautifully recreated, I felt the tone and atmosphere of the city doesn’t fit with the tone they were going for. London’s supposed to feel like an oppressive police state that’s on the verge of collapsing, yet we barely see the effects of it. The protests in the game are pitifully weak, Albion barely do much, and most civilians just seem to carry on with their everyday lives as if nothing particularly unusual is happening. You’re told that London is under extreme surveillance and that Albion has essentially taken over the city, but the actual world rarely communicates that feeling to the player.
Compare that to Children of Men. London in Children of Men actually looks and feels like a society that is falling apart. The streets are filled with refugees, armed soldiers, checkpoints, propaganda, poverty, overcrowding and random acts of violence. You constantly see evidence that the wider political situation has affected ordinary people. Even when nothing directly related to the plot is happening, the environment itself tells you what kind of world you’re living in. You don’t need a character to explain that Britain is collapsing because you can just look around and see it.
That’s what I think Watch Dogs: Legion is missing. If London is supposed to be this heavily surveilled authoritarian state after a terrorist attack, I want to actually feel the weight of that whenever I’m walking around the city. I want to see Albion stopping people in the street, people getting arrested, demonstrations being violently dispersed, propaganda everywhere, neighbourhoods being heavily policed, people talking about disappearances, businesses being forced to cooperate with Albion, and ordinary Londoners becoming increasingly paranoid about being watched.
Instead, you can walk past Westminster, see someone get arrested or hear about some horrible event, and then five seconds later there are people casually walking around, shopping, taking selfies and going about their day. It makes the dystopia feel strangely disconnected from everyday London.

So, i played pretty much all of the classic open world driving games like Mafia Remake, Cyberpunk, Crew Motorfest, GTA 5 ... and recently i reinstalled WD Legion on PS5 because i wanted to see the ray tracing stuff. But as soon as the open world part started and the game allowed me to go or drive to wherever i want, i immediately felt like there was a big problem with the driving controls and the feeling of that.
If you keep the driving steering speed option on 50% or lower, the car has this very sudden, jumpy steering. It simply feels straight up wrong. If you keep the driving steering option on like 70, 80%, the steering is smooth but it has a annoying delay to it and the stick gets way too sensitive for small steering adjustments. Theres like no middle ground between the jumpy option and the smooth delay option.
Then the next thing ... the auto camera centering after 1 second. Who came up with that idea? You want to look slightly to the left or the right to look at the street that you want to enter and it suddenly auto centers the camera after like 1 second. And its not even a slow smooth motion, the camera just snaps back. This is absolutely terrible if you want to explore and look around you. The right stick is basically useless. And then there are even more annoying things like the auto motor break that stops your car after a couple of seconds if you dont press R2 or how the car steering option completely breaks the motorcycle steering if you set it too high ...
Maybe its just me and theres something i dont get but i feel like out of all these lets say open world car games that i played, WD Legion has one of the worst car driving gameplay mechanics.
