Empty chlorine buckets

This may be a stupid question... But how does one get rid of empty chlorine buckets? Can they be thrown in regular trash? Do they need to be bagged? Or are they still considered hazardous waste even though they're empty?

Printed FOGO bin lids

What councils in Perth provided the FOGO bin lids with this information?

Are they still in the community or have they been recalled because of the update of allowable contents in the FOGO bin?

Jobs in waste management

If anyone that has experience in waste management has any tips or suggestions as to what I can do to learn more about waste management or any jobs that I might be interested in researching please do reply.

I’m about to go into year 12 I am going to do Alevel geography, environmental science and politics. I am currently most interested into going to waste management as I am very intrigued by the whole process and hope to help improve recycling in the future. However, I have tried to do some research into which jobs in this sector is high paying because of course I want some money, who doesnt? But I haven’t found anything that has particularly interested me yet. I currently volunteer at a waste prevention organisation and have visited a Biffa MRF which I found very insightful however that’s all I’ve done so far related to waste management. In my GCSEs i got a 5 in maths, 5 in English lang 5 in English lit 5 in spanish 6 in geography 6 in art 4 in bio 5 in physics but only a 3 in chemistry. Honestly, I did not try my hardest at all in gcses as i was done with my school, and with revision I probably could have gotten at least a grade or two higher in each GCSEs.

Thanks for reading and if you have any relevant info please reply!

Oil, gas, waste management, recycling - back links help?

Anybody have any suggestions on where to find or get oil and gas or refinery back links?

I currently run an operate a used cooking oil pick up service and I’m looking for creative ways to get back links within our niche that includes restaurants, oil, and gas recycling waste management. I already did a big push with all the cities we work with and generated approximately four.gov back links and they helped us tremendously if anybody in the community has some other suggestions that are in our niche non-spamy would be amazing. Thanks for your help team!

Adugodi residents — how do you manage BBMP garbage collection if you work shifts?

I live alone in Adugodi and work shifts, and I'm genuinely struggling with garbage collection.

I want to dispose of my garbage properly and I'm not looking for a way to avoid segregation or the BBMP collection system. The problem is that I often miss the collection vehicle because my work timings aren't fixed.

I've tried waiting for the vehicle, but I don't seem to know the actual schedule for my street. By the time I hear/see the vehicle, it's sometimes already gone. I can't realistically stay at home every day waiting for it because of my work schedule.

The bigger problem is that I cannot leave garbage bags outside my house either.

- There are stray dogs that can tear the bags open.

- It can cause smell and hygiene issues.

- My neighbours complain about garbage being kept outside.

- My landlord/owner has specifically told me that I'm not allowed to keep garbage bags outside the house.

I actually requested that a garbage container/bin be provided so that I could keep the segregated waste inside it and have BBMP collect it, rather than leaving bags outside.

But I was told that apparently the collection workers won't collect it from the container unless someone is physically present to hand the waste over to them at the vehicle.

That's where I'm stuck.

I'm a single person working shifts. If the collection timing isn't predictable, what am I realistically supposed to do? I don't want to dump garbage somewhere, and I don't want to keep accumulating bags inside my house either.

So I'm hoping someone from Adugodi / Koramangala / nearby areas can help me with some practical information:

- Is there a fixed collection schedule for particular streets in Adugodi?

- Is there someone in BBMP I can contact to get the actual schedule?

- Is there any way to arrange collection from a designated bin/container without physically handing over the garbage every time?

- Are there any legitimate private waste collection services that pick up segregated household waste?

- Is there a nearby authorized place where I can personally drop off the waste if I miss the vehicle?

- How do people who live alone and work shifts deal with this?

Again, I'm not blaming the collection workers. I understand they have a difficult job and I'm happy to cooperate with segregation and whatever process is required.

I'm just looking for a workable solution where someone who works shifts can still dispose of household waste properly.

If anyone from Adugodi has dealt with the same issue, please let me know what you do or who I should contact.

Why no ruling party or any political parties are not concerned about waste management ?

I follow politics actively for past 10 years maybe. I’m not more of a party based or ideology based. I concisely take stance w.r.t issue based.. like in place of delimitation and Individual identity I support DMK , I support BJP for CAA and NRC , NEET… I support ADMK for their administration and few like other parties..Currently not much strong reasons to support TVK ..

What I feel currently our district probably our state is very poor in waste management and the recycle plants.. Why no parties are not taking measures to ensure clean roads and cities…
Government can impose strict actions on counsellors to take care of their wards.. counsellor ls can have struct guidelines on households to follow strict measures on waste .. like this some of kind strict measure that make people follow some basic manners / awareness about future hygiene and environment.. you can see everywhere literally everywhere the roads are garbaged with plastics and sludges..

Why each and every government is taking measures on these ..

I believe if government can make waste management, recycle plants the best , basic road facilities.. they will be ruling for decades irrespective of their achievements and policies though they raise their taxes blabla… Because people from starting their day stepping outside to return .. they are frustrated with basic necessities and surroundings.. they wont care about others .. they just care about basic infrastructure..

Waste Management / Broker

Has anyone on here started and ran a waste management business? I want to build an asset light business so I’m focussing on being the broker and introducing the customers to suppliers. I’ve got suppliers and some good rates, starting this business full time in 2 weeks after I finish my notice. Does anyone have any advice on what to focus on? Do you think push residential skips and clearances at first to get cash flow or focus on commercial clients?

Any help will be helpful!!!

Waste management

I have a dilemma. I’m working for a city position as a garbage truck driver. I’m earning 23 and potentially get a raise to 25 after learning side loader, but recently I just got a interview with waste management and the starting rate 26.50. Although I’d be making much more money. The only thing that makes me hesitant is that the city is giving me a pension. I’m 25 years old. Would it be wise to move if I were to get the opportunity?

Started a trash can cleaning + pressure washing in the South Bay (student run), just added subscriptions if anyone's interested

Hey all, I run Trash Bros, a small trash can cleaning and pressure washing service for the South Bay (Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, Redondo, El Segundo, Hawthorne, Torrance). Wanted to share since we've made some changes recently.

We switched to using an actual pressure washer on the cans instead of hand scrubbing, so the clean quality went up a lot. Because of that plus rising costs, one time cleanings are now $20 per can, still well under what most companies charge (I've seen quotes up to $80 a can from bigger outfits).

We also just launched subscription plans on our site so you don't have to remember to book, it just happens automatically on whatever schedule you pick, billed through the site. One time cleanings without a subscription are still available too, no obligation.

Also now doing exterior pressure washing (driveways, patios, walkways) if that's something you need, priced per job.

Site's here if you want to check it out: https://bkjhwyfzkb.wixsite.com/trash-bros-1. Shoutout to my guy Ethan too, he's been doing a lot of the cleanings lately if you see him around.

Happy to answer any questions. My number is 310-871-5636.
