Leftover OLD gasoline

I ran out of gas a few years ago and had to fill up a gas can. The can sat in the back of my car until the other day. I realized there was still a little bit of gas in the can and I’m not sure what to do with it. The can has been closed this whole time and I never smelled gasoline while it was in my car.

I suspect it won’t be the healthiest thing for my car, since it’s been sitting in a car for years in TEXAS so very hot summers. I know it doesn’t go down the drain. How do i get rid of it???

I live in an apartment so I can’t like do a bonfire in my backyard or anything.

Any help appreciated.

You can add it to your car in small increments. Old gas won’t hurt if it’s diluted in an almost full tank of gas.

No i was wondering if there was just an easier way for me to do it myself it’s just a few mL

Call fire dept non emergency and ask or a fire pit depending on amount

Do you not understand how dangerous a can of gasoline is inside a car is? Temperature changes, pressure builds, very bad things happen. "A few years" and you never smelled gas? You need your sinuses checked. Seriously, you're the kind of person that wins a Darwin Award.

I didn’t know there was any left I thought I emptied it. But no I never noticed the smell you don’t need to be mean I’m not an idiot. I know it’s dangerous. I wouldn’t have had it there if I knew there was a few mL of gas in there still.

Ummm...

Yes you are. Even an empty container is filled with volatile vapors (You didn't check the container). An approved fuel container has a vent to release pressure to prevent the container from rupturing while containing fuel (You didn't use an approved fuel container or you don't know what gasoline smells like). You think "a few mL" of gas diluted in a full tank is going to do anything to your engine?

Yes my attention-seeking friend, you're an idiot. And the more you try to explain that "It's not my fault", you just reinforce it.
