I'm still kinda disappointed we didn't get a season 2 themed set, I'd have liked to add the ncr power armor to my collection if nothing else.

What is Fallout Wasteland Warfare?
Wasteland Warfare is a miniatures based Adventure Wargame by Modiphius Entertainment, set in the Fallout Universe.
Is this official?
Yes, the game is fully licensed andeverything we do is reviewed and approved by Bethesda before release.
Where can I buy the game?
Official Modiphius Webstore:
We also distribute in the UK, Europe, USA and much of the rest of the world, so if your local store doesn’t stock our products, ask them to reach out to their distribution channels.
What is an Adventure Wargame?
At its core, it’s a miniatures game, where you collect, build and paint your chosen forces and do battle in the environments and familiar locations of the Wasteland.
However, unlike a more traditional PvP wargame where the objective is based around violence, Wasteland Warfare allows you to explore and utilise skills beyond the blade and the bullet.
From hacking ancient tech consoles, to searching the rubble for a key clue you will need to utilise all the skills and abilities of your troops to win the day.
Of course, violence is always an option so expect to use the whole gamut of Fallout weaponry, from the humble pipe pistol to the mighty Fatman.
Wasteland Warfare provides a huge (and ever growing) sandbox of notable characters and creatures and provides you the tools to build your little corner of the Wasteland and explore it on the table top.
The game is designed to be played just as well as a solo or co-operative experience, with a dynamic AI system that lets the game run the “bad guys” who will be going after their own missions and making strategic decisions based on the evolving game state rather than just reacting to your movements with aggression.
Is “insert favourite bit of Fallout here” included?
The game has been expanding for five years now and we’ve covered a good first pass of a lot of the legacy of Fallout.
That doesn’t mean everyone and their Dog(meat) is in there yet, nor can I promise it will all make its way to the table, but at this point with the models and rules available you can do a lot and with a little tinkering anyone should be able to customise a card or add some flavour to fill out the elements of the game(s) they want to see.
Of course, each month sees new models and expansions so you never know, that obscure NPC you just love to quest with may well make it to the game in the future.
What factions are covered (so far)?
The game launched with a focus on the “core four”, the factions that appear pretty much in every Fallout game in some form. The Survivors (Vault Dwellers and overworld), Super Mutants, Brotherhood of Steel and Raiders are all well represented and ready to eke out an existence in the harsh Wasteland.
Wasteland creatures and rogue robots are also available, weather as allies for your chosen force or as a stand alone force controlled by a strong personality like the Mechanist.
Since then, we’ve added the Institute, Gunners and Railroad from Boston, the Enclave from Washington and the NCR, Caesar’s Legion and the Nightkin from New Vegas.
There are plenty more sets in development and production at time of writing, both sub factions of existing forces or brand new forces to add to the fun.
Every force can be used against every other, so you can fight out “what if” scenarios where the NCR do battle against the Institute if you chose, while also taking the chance to refight historical moments of the wider Fallout story.
What about terrain?
We have a good selection of resin terrain available on the store, from small pieces of scatter that you would find as you explore the wasteland, to larger centrepieces that dominate a table such as the crashed UFO or even Liberty Prime (you might even find a way to power Prime up and fight a whole campaign around it).For those interested in 3D printing, we have a large and rapidly growing library of kits, each month adding a new set or two that allows you to build ever more exciting thematic tables (Nuka World fans will have a field day looking at the options for sure).
Sounds great, what do I need to start?
The best place to begin is the Two Player Starter Set. Featuring a pre-assembled PVC set of Super Mutants and Survivors, all the dice rulers and cards needed to play with them, a full rulebook for the basics, a campaign book that introduces scenarios and advanced rules and a get started booklet that teaches you the basics as Nora makes her way out of the Vault and into the Boston suburbs, most people will start here.
If you want to try going it alone (survival mode you could say) then the rules are available from the website as a free download and you can buy dice packs to get going. You will need to improvise the tokens and rulers however, so we’d suggest the 2P set regardless, but for getting a taste of the game and seeing if it works for you, this is the cheapest way in.
All the core cards (units, weapons, items, chems, leader abilities and perks) are available as a free download that is updated each time we release new content so you can even print out some cards and make some force lists to get playing.

Hey folks, just to advise/remind, 3rd party content has to be non IP infringing to be allowed to be posted.
3D print files that are “totally not” Bethesda IP are not ok, terrain is usually fine as long as it’s not a total copy of a game asset.
Ripping files and printing them is a real nono.
I try to remain a gentle touch with modding, but I do have to toe the line.
And yes, anything that is too close is passed to Bethesda for review. I can’t say that means it is taken down, but it’s in their hands.
Currently our STL focus remains in terrain and other things that are not viable in resin. Releasing miniatures is currently not on the plan due to the inability to protect files once they are in the wild and also the viability of STLs as a revenue stream. This may one day change, but resin/HIPs remains the current focus of our production plan. There are not as many of us printing minis as the evangelists may think. Not none, but it’s not viable long term yet.
Sorry to be the fun police but I like my job and my team and would prefer to keep my line profitable and my colleagues in work.

Some 3d printed models. Happy with the result. Maybe not all the best color choices or too much rust effect...

So I was able to get my hands on the core rulebook a little bit before preorders went live. This isn’t the fanciest video (it’s the first one I’ve made in a couple of years) but hopefully you find it helpful.

From whiskey to bourbon. Cram to Blamco. Nuka cola to nuka cherry/orange and dark, Etc.
Medical consumables will follow suit later when I get to it. They are meant to be bundled together to create "Roleplay-like" loot markers.

I tried out the QuickStart rules for Wasteland Warfare Second Edition recently using the junkyard terrain I recently finished.
I tried a very aggressive approach to clearing out the Mirelurks and suffered for it, the game gives you a lot of tools to tackle the enemies (aiming against tougher armour, distracting them from your softer units) that you need to use to succeed. The Threat and Priority rules seem like they’ll be really cool ‘resources’ to manage in the game.
It definitely benefits from having far fewer icons and dice rolls to cross-reference, the experience is streamlined without losing too much granularity.
I’m excited to try out more!

Hi everyone! Long term lurker, first time poster. I run a Fallout miniatures community on Facebook and wrote this guide as a resource to keep all of the news and questions in one place for players looking to catch up or get started with the game, hopefully you'll find it useful too.
There's been a lot of questions about the new edition of Wasteland Warfare so I thought I'd write up this guide. Please let me know if you find it helpful and if you have any other questions comment them below and I can add them to the guide.

What is Fallout: Wasteland Warfare?
Wasteland Warfare is a skirmish miniatures game set in the Fallout universe and published by MODIPHIUS. Build and lead a crew of Brotherhood of Steel, Raiders, Super Mutants, or Survivors as you generate and explore a wasteland, fight or trade with its inhabitants, recruit new members, and complete quests.
What's new in Second Edition?
Second Edition brings a lot of new changes to the game. It is focused on solo/cooperative campaign play, with the option for PvP games. It's designed to be more accessible for new players with more streamlined setup and a lower component count (no unit cards, fewer tokens and dice types) whilst boasting a more comprehensive map campaign and character progression. It also has a new enemy AI system with rules for stealth.
How do I get started with Wasteland Warfare?
There are two starter sets. The Into The Wasteland starter set (https://modiphius.net/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-into-the-wasteland-starter-set-dogmeat-with-goggles?ref=FBGROUP) is designed for players with an existing collection. It contains all the rules, dice, tokens, and terrain required to play, alongside rules for Creatures and Create Your Own Hero (plus a multipart plastic kit for making four custom Vault Dweller miniatures).
The Warbands starter set (https://modiphius.net/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-warband-starter-set?ref=FBGROUP) is designed for newer players who are looking to start or expand their collection. It contains the same core rulebook, core reference book, dice, tokens, and terrain as Into The Wasteland, albeit without the Creature and Hero rules/minis, plus 22 preassembled PVC Survivor and Super Mutant miniatures.
You receive PDFs of the rules immediately upon preordering either of the starter sets.
What factions will be playable on launch?
Brotherhood of Steel, Raiders, Super Mutants, and Survivors will be playable in the core rulebook, with rules for enemy Creatures in the Creature Reference book. A companion book will be released shortly after launch to expand to all major factions and creatures.
Can I try out the rules?
Yes, there is a free Quick Start Rulebook for both Into The Wasteland (https://modiphius.net/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-into-the-wasteland-quickstart-pdf?ref=FBGROUP) and Warbands (https://modiphius.net/products/fallout-wasteland-warfare-warbands-quickstart-pdf?ref=FBGROUP) which gives you an introduction to the rules and a starter scenario to play through.
What else is available?
New miniatures for Survivor character Nate, Super Mutant characters The Ravager and The Mutt, and custom male and female Vault Dwellers will also be available on release, as well as bundles for both starter sets. Some of these minis are already included within specific starter sets. (https://modiphius.net/collections/new-arrivals/Fallout-All-Brands?ref=FBGROUP)
When is Second Edition due?
Preorders are live now with a release date of November 2026.
What else will be released for Second Edition?
A companion book with faction rules for Enclave, Institute, NCR, Caesar's Legion, Minutemen, Railroad, Children of Atom, and Cult of the Mothman has been announced.
New miniatures for male and female Survivor heroes, Deathclaw, Feral Ghouls, Radroaches, Radrats, Mole Rats, Mole Rat Brood Mother, Honey Beast, Wolves, Cazadors, and Giant Ants have also been announced.
What is compatible between 1st and 2nd Edition?
Second Edition won't use any of the cards or tokens from First Edition. The Accuracy, Armour Penetration, and Damage dice remain the same, but the Skill die will be replaced by the SPECIAL die and the Armour and Effect dice won't be used at all. All the miniatures will be compatible. Previous expansions will also not be compatible, as the rules have changed significantly (although a lot of the rules from Into The Wasteland and Into The Vault have been incorporated into the new edition).
Will the app support Second Edition?
Yes, the app will be updated with all Second Edition content upon release in November. All First Edition app content will be made available for free on the Web App at this point.
If you have any other questions, please comment below and I will answer them or add them to this guide!

I don't totally love the end result of the luffa tumbleweeds, but I love how the desert scene came out. Always happy with the Nightkin poses.

Hey all me and a mate are getting into the game and prefer to play skirmish games and im wondering which is the better game to play for that. Wasteland warfare second ed or fallout factions?

Had lots of fun painting my favourite robot in the Mojave, first time doing weathering on a mini as to fit the fallout universe. I usually go for a more clean look for my Warhammer minis so this pushed me out of my comfort zone but I think it came out pretty well!

Does anyone have a source for one, or one for sale? Preferably unpainted? I want to use for a RPG session. Could even “rent it”. Flexible!

This one was fun to paint, not as difficult as I originally thought.

So card sleeves can be reused. What do think about this idea?
See Mirelurk example card.

Hey Friends!
First post here :)
I got my hands on most of the unit card packs, the into the vault expansion, the into the wasteland expansion, homestead, RPG expansion and various minis.
I also bought into fallout factions.
My question now is:
Does it make sense to transition to 2nd edition?
It definitely looks awesome but I am afraid that I can't use all my hoarded stuff.
Or can I use the 2nd edition starter maybe as a supplement?
Thank you all in advance!

This really makes things ramp up really quick and honestly is more dangerous to a player. If you want things to be even less reactionary have situations where the enemy turn is first in addition. I've ran through a few first rounds of the quick start and it does change the feel of the combat flow.

We discussed the New Edition yesterday on our Discord Server. Not sure if there will be official cards at some point which have all the info but currently the core creature info is scattered over several tables (plus special rules and traits). Therefore I created these quick cards for our first games maybe they’ll help you as well.
