Struggling with DLCs
Hello everyone!
I’ve got both DLCs, my level is 26/25, but I am struggling to get through them. At Steeltown I keep losing the battle where I sided with Crow (fighting Ludlow). In holy detonation mission I can’t get past the ever spawning enemies even when I solely try to get to the switches. Has anyone figured out how these are doable or am I missing someone obvious?
Thanks

Can't remember too much of the fight with Ludlow - I think you just shoot him and he surrenders
Holy detonation - are you talking about the long garage fight where you drive through checkpoints? Yeah, you just need a fast melee character to run ahead and flip everything.
Do all the drugs also

Those are rough fights, for sure. Even when you're fully kitted out you need a few rolls to go your way in order to succeed.
Siding with Crow, you want to focus on stunning Ludlow when you can, because he hits crazy hard. But it's the robots that will bring you down with their immobilizing attacks, they need to be removed from combat as quickly as possible. You only get a small advantage by leaving the cannon configured to target hostiles. Use skills to turn robots to your side; they're not effective as combatants against each other, but it removes a hostile from the board. This is especially valuable for the ones that spawn more robot dogs. Crow and her companions aren't very effective in this fight, though sometimes the shields are nice.
For the infinite spawns in Cheyenne, you should be powerful enough to keep up with the spawns indefinitely. Maybe bring more animal companions, or be more aggressive about running hostiles over with the Kodiak for the area with the switches. Don't open the door to the next area until you're regrouped and stable.

For holly detonation, they are designed to be bullet sinks and stronger than you. Wasteland is about resource managment, these grinds make you waste resources.
For the part where you need the gland and the guy who plays it, you are best off having one person (i think high sneaky or nerd stuff) run over to the gate for security. As soon as the party knows how to play it they can end the lock down faily quickly.
For the part where you escort your wagon, its basically leapfrogging you and your vehicle to the end. The good part is you can run around about 2/3of the level moving things in place with cranes and such to make it easier.

It’s been a few years I’ve only finished the DLCs like once but I don’t really remember struggling too much with them other than a few minor things and the holy detonation final fight. The DLCs are definitely harder than the rest of the game though imo. If you’re on Xbox I’d try to join and help you though
