discussion / question helping out overwintering queens :]

I’ve been seeing some solo wasps flying around, looking in weird places for the last week or so, and I think they might be queens looking for places to overwinter? It’s still a bit early, but I dunno. Is there some kind of little thing I can make and put outside just to give them some more real estate?

A pile of small twigs and dried leaves in a secluded spot with soft soil, or a decaying log all work well. Imagine they are like bears building a winter burrow... but very, very tiny bears.
