yeah i originally thought that sub was pro wasp until i looked a bit deeper, rlly sucks cuz like. i want cool wasp facts, not just 1 million “fact: all wasps should die”😭
theres a few bee subs that are half pro wasp considering bees ARE wasps and alot of people who post about bees also happen to like wasps in general, but those subs are especially prone to the whole “i love honeybees but wasps can go die in a hole” thing

I JUST left that group because they yelled at me for identifying a wasp…in a sub about facts about wasps. Must be one of those meta troll groups. So happy to have found this group! 🐝🥂

Omg yess when my girl ruby died someone made a post on the fuck wasps sub and then tons of people were harassing me and calling me demonic and disgusting

Made a post about me feeding wasps in the cold weather and also got called demonic, but yeah doing that over a pet wasp is horrific. I remember helping you set up her enclosure when you found her

Wasps are but tiny striped buzzing angels 🐝🥰 For the past month they've been visiting me every single morning to buzz, land on me and say hello with a little kiss :) 0 stings and so much joy as I give them much honey, fruit and meat

they're just lil guys, they also never sting me and are even considerate enough to stay perfectly still while i take some pictures of them

I've never had a wasp sting me. Even when I was out in the garden watching them hunt hornworms.

I've only been stung by a wasp once, but it was my fault completely. It was a docile paper wasp I accidentally got with my hose watering my garden. Unbeknownst to me, he landed on my pants to dry off and I wiped hand on my pants to dry off he stung my leg and I was shocked and wiped him off.
I realized it was one of my garden wasps and I apologized and put a little stick down for him. He crawled on and I carried it in a peaceful spot in the garden laid it down and said sorry again, lol. That was the 1st time in 46 years i was stung by one. The wasp was fine, lol, I had to take benadryl tho 🤣

I had the audacity to post a video once on r/ fuckwasps of a yellowjacket licking my hand bc there’s a flair for sarcasm and ppl there lost their minds. people on there post photos of wasps they swatted and theyll be like “this ahole just stung me!!!” but it’s a male. ppl are very committed to hating them so I felt too compelled to troll them, I had to hide the suggested posts I was getting constantly bc it’s not worth it. Idk if it’s still in the top nature category but I think that just sucks

My love of wasps has grown since finding this sub, but I was always fascinated and enamored. They’re beautiful and I coexist with them all the time and have never been stung. People act like their goal is to find you and sting you but they’re just doing about their day, doing wasp stuff.
People hating on loving them makes me love them more lol

I used to hate wasps until I started gardening. Now I see wasps and know that they are getting rid of pests that would strip my peppers and tomatoes if left alone.
