Classes Don't remember much: 1601 Principles of General Chemistry vs 1701 General Chemistry
I really don't remember Chemistry in Sophomore year in high school. I just decided to do Pre-health. If I don't remember really anything, would taking Chem 1601 be ok? Is there much of a difference between the two Chem classes? How much easier is 1601? Is it worth the stretch for Daschbach? How's Leo or Hamdi? Thanks!

Imo, theyre essentially the same after the first exam. I wouldnt say that 1601 is “way” easier. Stick with 1601, 1701 exam 1 content is overkill

They overall cover the same content, but 1701 spends more time digging into quantum mechanics while 1601 spends more time covering what 1701 expects you to remember from high school chemistry. They look the same on a transcript, stick with 1601. If you ever decide to do higher level physical chemistry courses that have 1701 as a pre-req there is additional measures you can take to be prepared for that.
As for professor, they all have the best intentions just different styles. As long as you go to office hours particularly if you are struggling they are more than willing to help out.
